Zuko watched his Fire Nation kingdom work just about peacefully. His loyal Queen, Katara, placed her hands gently but firmly on Zuko's tense shoulders. She noticed his slight distress even after ex-Fire Lord Ozai and Azula had been placed where they belonged. "What's wrong Zuko?" she questioned softly, almost mumbling her words. Zuko's hair was long like Ozai's was, but only it was neatly combed in an elegant way. The Fire Nation sat sharply but boldly on his bun. His colors of a blood red robe was a kimono basically. Katara had her strands of hair hang loosely in an non-insulting way. She too, shared the same colors despite the opposite elements.

Zuko was unsure. Perhaps it was the fact no danger had come, but it was hiding. "I'm not quite sure. Perhaps we haven't had a danger come in such a long time," Zuko responded. Katara sighed softly. "Zuko, I'm glad there is peace. We don't need any Azulas running around," Katara giggled. Zuko turned around to face his wife and lover, feeling her face. "Yeah, I think you're right," Zuko assured Katara's suggestion. They both entered their royal mansion.

Aang was out being an Air Nomad, searching for the right person, Toph wasn't interested in children, dating, or marriage, she focused on creating her own school for metalbending rather. Sokka married Suki and moved with their infant son to the Water Nation. What else could trouble him? He was soon planning on having his second child, hoping for a baby girl. Nothing else could go wrong. Zuko entered in his bedroom he shared with Katara, staring down the perfect mirrored image there was to behold. There, he saw a small girl, the age of ten staring behind him. Her bright blue eyes showed fierce pain and utter anger.

Shit. Another flashback starting again.

Young Zuko saw his dear friend, Qi-Tang, rocking back and forth. Qi-Tang was whimpering, muttering and uttering words Zuko could not understand what she was speaking. He heard mumbled words from another language it seemed, then shortly after, silencing to no words. What Zuko could understand was her tightly-shut eyes and cheesy smile, with tears forcing themselves unto raindrops amongst her dry (now wet) cheeks. "Argh!" Qi-Tang exclaimed. Zuko took two footsteps near her. He was slightly afraid too.

"Qi-Tang?" he called out nervously. No response from the child prodigy. She kept crying without a sound. Qi-Tang was always used to this, and Zuko hated it. Zuko knew she did this when much stress was towards her. And it was all the time. Not a single day did Qi-Tang feel relaxed. Qi-Tang stood up, and looked up at Zuko. "Sorry," Qi-Tang mumbled, looking down in shame. Qi-Tang felt unnecessary to life. Qi-Tang was far too powerful wasn't she?

"Qi-Tang, maybe you parents need to stop being so bossy. Your sister too," Zuko slightly demanded, but Qi shook her head. "Can't." Zuko frowned and scowled. "Why not? Won't they ever listen to you?" Zuko questioned, but heard her name being called upon harshly. Qi-Tang knew she had to go without a single doubt or question. Zuko just watched Qi-Tang move along, disappointed at the fact no one would back off. For once, Zuko wished that him and Qi-Tang purely could play and talk about the future without annoying interruptions.

Qi-Tang was often nicer than even Ty-Lee. She would never tease anyone, she only minded her business and kept quiet. Qi-Tang was too well-behaved, but at least it was better than stupid Azula bothering him a lot. Zuko looked at the turtle-ducks feeding in the water. Zuko grabbed a rock and remembered Mom telling him it was not nice to mistreat animals. Well, what about Azula? She always got caught anyways.

His trace was destroyed when Katara kept snapping her fingers in Zuko's face. "Zuko!" Katara called more louder. Zuko shook his head and blinked. The next thing was blacking out. Katara giggled softly with concern. "Sorry. What is it?" Zuko smiled slightly with his mouth, not his eyes. "I was thinking we should take Zakon out for some fresh air. You know, as a family," Katara suggested. Zuko didn't mind really. Sometimes he needed a break from his life even. "Sure," a chuckle came out from his mouth.

Katara left with a smile, causing Zuko to turn back to the mirrored image girl's attention. Qi-Tang. Truly a skilled firebender with an extreme passion of fire. He continued to stare down the child prodigy image. She even topped Azula, let alone a Fire Nation general with 40 years of Agni Kai professional experience. Zuko's smile disappeared when he saw Qi-Tang screech, then severely and fiercely move her firebending towards him, disappearing in the mirror.

A/N: So this is my first fanfiction I wrote with Avatar, which will be rated M for obvious reasons. (Subliminal message in flashback) I don't think there will be any sexual content, more or less with the bad childhood Zuko had with, and other future things. Please, review and give a constructive critical review. Example: I suggest (etc, character development a little more this or make them more (emotion, sociopathic) or any grammatical errors I may have. Also, suggestions of ideas are not illegal. ;)

Also, sorry if it's so short. xD
