"In other news...the world figure skating 20 year old champion, Emma Lee will be leaving for South Korea tomorrow morning to complete four semesters worth of business school as well as training for the 2011 World Championships." The anchor reported.
Emma rolled her eyes and continued to pack her suitcase. "Why won't the press ever give me a break!"
Her mother replied, "Because you're famous. Enjoy it while it lasts, once you set foot in Korea, no one will recognize you. Hurry up and finish packing. Get some rest."
"Okay. I will."
The next morning was chaotic, Emma arrived at the airport witnessing an ocean of her fans, she put on a smile for the cameras and waved while saying, "I love you guys, I'll be back soon.", all the way to the plane. She boarded the plane and took her seat. This would be her second time in Korea, but this would be her first time going by herself. No parents, no bodyguards, no friends. She took a deep breath as the plane was about to lift out. There was no turning back now.
Nearly 12 hours later, the pilot came on the intercom, "Ladies and gentleman, we've arrived at our destination; Incheon International Airport . We hope you've enjoyed your flight and welcome to Seoul, Korea!"
Emma peered outside her window. Seoul really had changed a lot since she's last been here. As she departures the plane, she's greeted by a swarm of squealing girls holding signs saying "I LOVE YOU, JS!".
"JS? What's that? I guess they aren't here for me," she pondered. "OH! That's right I have to find a pay phone and call mom. She's probably worried to death right now."
She glanced around the airport and there wasn't a phone in sight.
"Excuse me," she asked one of the fangirls, "Do you know where the pay phones are?"
"Oh, all the way down and make a right."
"Thank you! And umm...one more question. What JS?" she asked with a curious expression.
The fangirl seemed to be in awe. "You don't know who JS is? He's only the most handsomest and most talented, number one selling artist in Korea, JinSung!"
"Hmm...interesting. Okay, thank you!"
She walked away repeating the directions to herself so she wouldn't forget. Suddenly, a guy bumped into her a his coffee splashed all over her favorite cardigan. Emma stared at the big brown stain that was all over her, still speechless from the shock.
"Wait right here, I'll go buy you a new one. May I know your name?" he said calmly.
"Alright. I'm Emma. What's your name?" she replied.
He turned and smirked. "JinSung."
How rude, she thought, he didn't apologize. But his name...it sounds so familiar.
Could it be? Was that the JinSung that the fangirl was talking about? The handsomest, talented, number one selling artist in Korea? Who cares if he wanted her to stay there, she was the World Figure Skating Champion.
Nobody tells her what to do. Emma quickly made her way to the pay phone while trying to cover the coffee stain with her purse. She examined the pay phone and then pulled out her wallet. Without knowing, all of her coins fell to the floor.
She sighed, "This really isn't my day..."
Just then, a handsome man bent down to collect the fallen coins. "Here you go. You should be more careful next time." He smiled. "What happened to your sweater?"
"Oh, it's a long story."
He checked his watch, "Well, I've got time. You could tell me over coffee."
She smiled and nodded willingly as they walked off to the airport cafe.
