Bella POV

I went downt to La Push, though after I got there I thought I maybe should have gone home.

"Hey Bella." Jacob said coming out of the house. "Sup?"

"Nothing, just thought I'd drop by."

"OK, um, come on in, I need to talk to you anyway."

"OK." I said getting out of my truck.

"Ya, know what, let's take a walk instead."

I closed my truck door and we started walking. "Where are we going?"

"Cliffs. We go diving from there sometimes."

"So, what did you need to talk to me about?"

"Do you remember the legends I asked you not to talk to anyone about?"

"Yes, wolves and cold ones."

"Right," He hesitated. "I'm the first one."

I laughed, "Right, you sure look like a wolf."

"No Bella, really I am. There are cold ones, or vampires as you would call them in the area. They cause some in my tribe to phase into werewolves."

We were to the cliffs now. "Prove it."

He turned and walked into the woods, and came back out a giant wolf. I screamed and started to run. It was like a horror movie, running from the monster, and knowing me I would really fall. Before I got very far, Jacob was behind me. He grabbed me from behind.

"Bella! Stop screaming! I'm not going to kill you."

I stopped. "Jake, just let me go, I wont tell anyone I promise."

"I'm not done talking. The vampires I told you were here. They are your friends, Bella, the Cullens. You aren't supposed to know that either."

I was really scared now, I know I knew Jake, had for ages, but this wasn't Jake. He was different.

"Ya know, I know how things will end up. I'll love you, but you'll fall for one of them. No matter what I do, I'll never be good enough for you." He was holding my arm, still walking, I had no choice but to follow.

Jacob POV

"I'll never be good enough for you." I said, still walking with her. I knew it would happen this way.

"What are you talking about?"

"Their little future-seer. She called me, told me to just leave you alone now, because you were going to make her brother happy, finally. He deserved happiness." I stopped walking, we were at the cliff edge. "Well let me tell you something. If I can't have you, neither will he." With that I pushed her off the cliff and watched her fall to her death.

I had a strange sence of satisfaction when I saw her hit a rock then fall in the water. I walked away. Down to the beach so I could collect her body. I couldn't just leave her there. I would have to provide a body and tell everyone of the accident, after all, everyone knows how clumsy Bella is.
