GLIMPSES

Roy immediately stood straight after he experienced another one of those memories that came crashing back to him.

The Titans continued on their conversation like they didn't notice his quick change of posture. Maybe they really didn't. So, Roy began to think about all the memories he had been receiving ever since Wally restored some of it when he came back from the Speed Force.

Sure, he now remembered back then when he joined the Teen Titans. He remembered his friends helping him go through his... withdrawal. He remembered that Cyborg was originally a Teen Titan, not the League member he was now in this twisted world. He remembered a Raven and a Changeling. He remembered going undercover in the League of Shadows. He remembered a few more than that.

But the most frustrating part was when he couldn't even remember her name or why was she always appearing in his memories. That wasn't just fair, to be honest.

He went to the kitchen, stopping in front of the refrigerator to get a bottle of beer. He popped it open and drank some, wiping his mouth as he once again head to where the Titans were. When he arrived, Donna glanced at him and wrinkled her nose at the beer he was holding. He rolled his eyes at her, the Amazon never did like beers.

Going back to his recent flashback about the mysterious person, Roy noted that she had black hair and green eyes. While he only saw the face of the person, he realized that she couldn't be older than ten. Not only that but he could feel a strong connection between the both of them. It was like this kid was so precious to him, yet he couldn't comprehend why.

Maybe Wally knew this kid. Yes, it was possible. Wally wasn't affected by the major changes of this world because he was in the Speed Force. After all, Wally was the one who helped them remember.

He asked Wally about her so casually and nonchalant. The other Titans stared at him in confusion whilst Wally looked thoughtful. However, his hope shattered on the ground as Wally shook his head—"I wish I knew, Roy. But even if I'm not that much affected by the New 52 event (Roy inwardly snorted, he almost forgot when Wally insisted they call the incident on what happened to their world, New 52. Pathetic.) I still lost some of my memories. I'm so sorry."—and Roy never brought up it up the next few days.

Because maybe that's just how it is. They're all just flashbacks he wouldn't get back.

Maybe it's just some glimpses.

And he regretted thinking that it was just that.
