A/N: I wrote this for scubarang's challenge in the DG Forum. You should come join us, we are lots of fun, and even occasionally friendly. :]

Here were the rules:

1. Must be D/G.

2. Maximum word count is 250.

3. Must have either Draco or Ginny making or breaking a New Year resolution.

4. Can be any era, any genre.

5. Have fun.

Here it is! I Will Not Tell Lies (Well, Not All The Time):

"What are your New Year's resolutions, Ginny?" Hermione asked the redhead, pulling her out of her daydreams and attempting to include her in the conversation going on around her.

"I honestly hadn't put much thought into it. Maybe… study more," to distract from looking at Malfoy's bum, "practice Quidditch regularly," to prevent stalking Malfoy, "and spend less time gossiping with Lavender and the girls," so I won't hear about who Malfoy is shagging.

"Those sound like very admirable goals, Ginny. I have faith you can accomplish all of them… even the gossiping one, if you try hard enough," Hermione responded enthusiastically, always one to give encouragement of a good deed well done.

Draco caught Ginny staring his way and gave her a roguish wink from across the Great Hall. Ginny blushed a harsh shade of crimson, then immediately sighed in obvious defeat. "I'm not sure it will be so easy 'Mione…"

A/N: PS - that was 151 words, not including my author babble.
