I didn't have a choice.
I was born deaf,
Unaware.
Flawed.
I never had a choice.
I didn't have a chance.
I Couldn't hear the hawk coming,
I Couldn't hear the warnings,
Only silence.
I never had a chance.
I didn't have a life.
My mother tried to help,
The medicine cats tried to help.
But they could not help me,
Bound to my cruel fate.
I never had a life.
I didn't have a future.
Couldn't look forward to being an apprentice,
Couldn't look forward to having a mentor,
Couldn't look forward to being a warrior,
Couldn't look forward to a mate,
Couldn't look forward to kits.
I never had a future.
I didn't have a destiny.
Unlike the brave Fireheart,
Unlike the disloyal Tigerstar.
I never had a destiny.
I do have eternity.
Eternity to think over my short life,
Eternity to watch over the others of my clan,
Eternity to walk through the endless Starclan.
I will always have eternity.
For, now, I am not flawed anymore,
Flawless.
For, now, I am not different anymore,
Normal.
For I am,
From now on,
Until the end of time,
Eternally young.
Eternal.
