A/N: I don't own Star Vs The Forces of Evil

School's out

For all intensive purposes Saint Olga's reform school for Wayward Princess's was a prison.

The hours of studying mind-numbing rules of being a proper princess were soul-crushing, the food was rotten and teachers found extreme pleasure in tormenting the young girls that where forced to stay there. Escape was impossible as well. The walls where to high to scale and were electrified, not to mention there were armed guards keeping constant watch over the facility in order to keep any of the girls from escaping and to top it off, the entire school was built around a bottomless pit.

However, like most prisons, the school spent so much time on focusing on keeping people from breaking out that they didn't give much thought about people breaking in.

And that was the second mistake that Saint Olga's made, the first being that they took Star away from him.

"Hey Jerry, do you see that?" one of the guards said to his partner on the front gate

"What is it Dave?" the other asked

"I dunno, it looks like some kid" the first replied as he pointed off into the distance

The second guard took out a spy glass in order to get a better look at what his partner was referring to. Sure enough, a teen in a red hoodie was standing about sixty feet away from the reform school. The boy's face was covered by the hood over his head, but the guard could clearly see two red eyes glowing furiously at the building before him.

"Well he's defiantly a spooky little punk, but I don't think-"

The guard's words where cut off when both he and the other guards began to hear a strange sound coming from the forest that surrounded the school. At first it could be barely save for a few guards at the front gate, but within seconds the sound grew to be heard throughout the entire area. The sound itself was that of mixture of thousands of wings flapping through the air and high-pitched squeaking. The teen then raised his hand and out of the tree-line an explosion of bats erupted out, blocking the moonlight as their wings darkened the sky above them. Much to the guard's horror, the massive swarm of bats began to morph in the shape of a hand above the reform school, copying the teen's hand that was raised. The boy then closed his hand into a fist, to which the bats mimicked.

Suddenly he plunged his fist to the ground, making bats to the same, only they came down with the force of a bomb down on the school's front gate, killing anyone who was unfortunate enough to be stationed there. The swarm of flying mammals then began to spread like a wicked flood throughout the courtyard, engulfing anyone who the came across.

As Dave weakly crawled out of the wreckage of the now demolished front wall, he looked up to see the bottom of a tennis shoe that belonged to the teenager stomp on his head, crushing it like grape underneath it before causally making his way into the reform school amongst all the chaos.

"Saint Olga, we have an emergency!" one of the guards said over the radio to the head mistress "We have an omega-class vampire on the premises! He's slaughtering us out here!"

"Tell your troops to fall back to the first level of the school and put all the students on maximum lockdown" the school's headmistress ordered "We cannot allow that brute to get his disgusting claws on a single princess, especially Star Butterfly!"

"Yes ma'am!" the guard acknowledged before shutting off the radio

If there was one thing saint Olga hated more then unruly princesses, it was monsters trying to get at said princesses. Olga was a firm believer in happily ever after endings and in not a single fairytale did the princess ever hook up with a werewolf, a swamp monster or some creature of any sort (Beauty and the Beast got a pass since the beast was really a prince) no, the only person a princess is ever meant to fall in love with is a handsome prince and only a handsome prince, anyone else monster or otherwise was a threat to her stead-fast beliefs.

This vampire—this Marco fellow was nothing more then a monster and a peasant meant to be destroyed for her righteous cause. Princess Star should have never gone to that accused place called earth and forced to live among commoners such as those wretched humans, for all Olga knew, the poor girl may have gained feelings for this abomination.

There was only one solution in order to save princess Star's royal blood from either being drained or diluted by this beast: He must die!

"Area secure sir!" the guard said to his captain

"Good work solider!" the captain replied "We'll be ready for that bastard now!"

The surviving guards from the first assault had managed to regroup into the first level of the school and gather up stronger weapons to combat the intruder. Pulse rifles, energy swords, ray shields and laser pistols were now at their disposal; which they hoped was enough to kill the vampire.

The guards formed a shield wall at the end of the hallway, blocking the path with a huge wall of their might with their pulse rifles at the ready. They waited for what seemed like forever, but the monster did not reveal himself in person, instead a large cloud of black mist rolled in from down the hall. Suddenly, the mist gained speed and swept over the men like a blanket of darkness. Within seconds, the mist began to drain the blood out of their bodies, leaving them nothing more then withered corpses.

The mist then reformed itself back into Marco, who looked down at his handiwork, but not with pride; only with contempt. He didn't want this happen at all, he never wanted to slaughter his way through all these guards, but they gave no him choice. Ever since Star was forced to go to this school, the recently-turned vampire had spent days trying to figure how to use the dimensional scissors that his best friend had left behind, which lead him into several worlds that he did not want to go and ended up fighting his way through most of them. During that time, Marco had consumed many different creatures and people throughout his travels and thanks to their blood and his martial arts training; he learned to harness the vast of array of powers of the undead that were at his disposal as well as a legion of familiars of his victims to command. It wasn't until his twenty-second try that he finally arrived at the right world, however when he was scouting out the school for any weaknesses, he caught a glimpse of a sight something that made his cold blood boil in rage.

He saw Star being beaten by a few of the guards in front of the other princesses.

In that one moment, he vowed to make sure everyone in this school would suffer tenfold for what they did to her.

"There it is!" Marco heard another guard's voice shout

The astro-vampre pulled himself away from his memories and back into reality when he saw a group of six guards running toward him with weapons drawn.

"Take it down!" the first guard commanded as he and others aimed their rifles at him opened fire

Just before any of the lasers hit him, the undead teen's shadow suddenly shot up from the floor and formed into a solid wall, blocking the oncoming blasts. The shadow wall then came back down to reveal that the boy was now longer there, perplexing the group of warriors. Unknown to them, their target was silently phasing out of the floor behind them. Marco then unleashed a powerful karate chop that split one of the guards head in half right down the middle. Before the other guards knew what to do next, Marco's claws had already sliced open their throats, killing them all in one strike. The remaining two guards attempted to flee, only for the teen to catch up to them with his super-speed and rip out on of the men's heart in one swift motion.

"P-please don't kill me!" the last guard pleaded, falling to his knees as he did "I-I'll tell you anything you want to know!"

"I know you will" Marco answered gently as he helped the terrified man to his feet

Just as the guard as feeling safe, the vampire grabbed him by the shoulders and pinned him against the wall.

"But your blood will tell me so much more" he finished darkly before he plunged his fangs into the poor soul's neck

So he had a flare for the theatrics, sue him.

Star knew exactly why she and the other princesses where being forced to stay in the underground shelter beneath the school, Marco had finally come for her. She knew it would only be a matter of time before he figured out how to use the dimensional scissors and come to her rescue; she only wished she had shown him how to use it before she was forced to come here, that way he could've come and taken her back to Earth sooner and she wouldn't be covered in bruises right now.

She had no idea why her parents suddenly decided to change their minds and send her to this awful school, all she knew that they kept saying it was for her own good. She still loved her parents, but it was rather unorthodox of them to be so fickle about their choices. Just then, Princess Pony Head came up her, breaking her train of thoughts.

"It's Marco, isn't it?" she asked, to which Star nodded in response

"He's come to get me out of here" the princess of Mewni said

"Sounds like he's having fun while he's doing it" Pony Head mentioned as the girls head another scream echo throughout the school

"Don't say that!" Star snapped at her other best friend "Marco doesn't like doing this!"

"You sure about that girl? 'cause I think he's have'in a ball up there" the floating unicorn head answered

"I was not!" a voice retaliated from the darkness of the room

Star, Pony Head and every other princess in the underground shelter collectively jumped in either surprise or fright at the sound of the voice before Marco himself suddenly phased through one of the walls, covered in the blood of his slain enemies and looking like he had enough of this mess and just wanted to go home with Star. Unlike the princess of Mewni, the other royal girls where in total fear of the vampire that now stood before, not knowing whether or not he drain them all of their blood right then and there. Star ran up to her best friend and attempted to hug him, only to be stopped in her tracks when he raised his hand to halt her advance.

"I'm glad your ok Star, but don't hug me right now" he said as he took his hood off "I don't what to cover you in well…all this"

"Oh…good point" Star replied in serious tone "Did they…did they suffer?"

"Not long" was all the undead teen said in response, not proud of what he had to do

Star knew that with Marco's knew undead lifestyle there came new challenges for the two teens to overcome as well. Marco's hunger sometimes overwrote his sense of judgment and how he went about solving his need to quench his thirst. Yes despite his new monstrous life, Star still cared for him as both a friend and a lover.

"Stop right there you beast!" a shrill female voice commanded

Marco and the girls turned around to see Saint Olga and what was left of her guards standing before them with laser rifles point directly at them. The vampire put himself between the girls and the headmistress, ready to fight to his un-dying breath for them.

"I will not allow princess Star or any of these girls go anywhere with you!" she proclaimed "I'd sooner see them dead them be with a creature like you!"

To put emphasis on her point, the guards began to charge up their weapons and aim them at the royal girls. Suddenly, Marco's eyes flashed a bright hellish red as he raised his hand up. The guards then began to will their will power slip away as they collectively turned their rifles toward Saint Olga herself.

'W-What are you fools doing?!" she stammered out in fear

"What I'm telling them to do" Marco informed her darkly "Here's the deal: You let me, Star, Pony Head and the other princess walk out of here or I will tell your men to kill you, simply as that"

"I'm ready to die" the woman said with conviction in her voice

"Are you now?" Marco replied "Well let's see if that's true"

"Wait!" Star suddenly spoke in an upset tone "Just let it end Marco—please, just let it end"

Marco's wicked eyes changed to that a look of softness. He then released his mental control over the guards, causing them to black out from the intense hold he had on them. Saint Olga attempted to snatch up one of the rifles, only to have it smacked out of her hand by the Vampire's shadow, which a formed into a whip.

"Don't make me kill you" he warned

"This is exactly why Star's parents brought her here!" she shot back at him "They were trying to protect her from you!"

That revelation took both Star and Marco aback. At first the vampire attempted to make a response, but after slaughtering his way to get the girl she loved, he quickly understood why her own parents brought here to this place. He the started to back away from Star, clearly upset at what he done, but then much to everyone's shock; Star reached out and pulled the undead teen to her for a passionate kiss.

"I don't care what is he is; I've never cared" the princes of Mewni said as she pulled away from him "I love him, that's all there is to it"

"Star…" he said breathlessly

"Let's just go home" she told him softly

With only a nod in acknowledgement, Marco then picked up the princess bridle style before carrying her out of the room and toward exit of the school, all the while the other royal girls followed behind them.

"No! You can't love him! Princess's should only love princes!" Saint Olga cried out in hysterics "You can't love a monster! You can't!"

Her shouts seemed so far away to the two young lovers as kissed one another again. True, for all accounts Marco was a monster, but to Star Butterfly; he was the only monster she could love.

The End
