WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO ME!?
Yes people, it seems that our dear Allen has gotten himself lost again. Currently, he is wandering the halls of the Black Order and (hopefully) will find his room and/or the cafeteria soon.
"-and so we talked all night about the rest of our lives…-"
Music? No. Singing? Where's that coming from?
Curious, Allen follows the voice before stopping at a door labeled Music Room.
A music room? I never knew the Order had one.
"-where we're gonna be when we turn twenty-five-"
Quietly, Allen opens the door desperately hoping to neither disturb the singer and see who it was (inside, he was hoping that whoever it was could help him find his way back, pathetic, isn't it?).
"I keep thinking times will never change,
Keep on thinking things will always be the same."
A piano. And Eric. Eric…is…playing…the piano. Why does this… seem weird and normal at the same time?
"But when we leave this year we won't be coming back
No more hanging out cause we're on a different track
And if you got something that you need to say
You better say it right now cause you don't have another day
Cause we're moving on and we can't slow down
These memories are playing like a film without sound
And I keep thinking of that night in June
I didn't know much of love
But it came too soon
And there was me and you
And then we got real blue
Stay at home talking on the telephone
We would get so excited and we'd get so scared
Laughing at ourselves thinking life's not fair
And this is how it feels…"
This song…it's so sad, yet it's happy…I didn't know Eric could sing… or play the piano anyway.
"As we go on
We remember
All the times we
Had together"
Drip.
Huh? Why am I crying?
"-so if we get the big jobs and we make the big money-"
This song-no, Eric's feelings, they feel painful; it's almost as though he's reliving losing something,
"And as our lives change
Come whatever"
Or someone.
"We will still be
Friends forever"
But who is it? No one in the order has died recently. So who it he crying for?
"Allen? What are you doing here?"
"Huh?" Shit, I've been caught! (yes people, innocent Allen uses that word)
"Lost again? Here, let me take you to the cafeteria, I have to get lunch anyway."
"Um, okay…" That song…why is he so sad?
"Hey Allen! Are you coming or not?" yells Eric, halfway down the corridor.
"Oh! Yes! Wait for me!"
His outstretched hand. His happy smile. It seems like he never had anything to lose. I want to help. But he's hard to figure out. I never know what's going on in his mind and he's my brother! So why.. why doesn't he tell me anything?
Clasping Eric's hand firmly, Allen makes a promise to himself to never make Eric, his brother, his only family left, too be like that with him.
With that smile on his face…
He looks like an angel.
Yes, an angel.
A black winged angel trying to fly on broken wings.
Always trying to shield others.
My angel to fix.
