A/N: For the first two chapters, the first part in italics will be the future. Giving you a hint on who's the main pairing basically. Anyways, first Soul Eater fic. Enjoy.
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
Maka looked up from her book when she heard an all too familiar voice.
"Ready to go?" Emerald eyes met topaz, and Maka smiled.
"Yeah." She said, getting up from her chair, and stretched. "Let's rock the house."
"Guys, c'mon! We need to practice!" Maka said. Maka Albarn, 19, was the lead singer, song writer, and second guitar in the band Perpetual Souls. Since she was the leader, it was her job to make sure they practiced, which she was having a hard time of doing right now.
"C'mon Maka! We practiced for hours yesterday! Don't we deserve a break?" Liz said, draped across a patio chair. Elizabeth 'Liz' Thompson, 20, was the lead guitar, backup vocals, and sometimes helped write songs. She may seem like a slacker, but she was right: they practiced for five hours nonstop yesterday.
Tsubaki Nakatsukasa, 19, and Patricia 'Patty' Thompson, 18, just watched the exchange back and forth. Patty giggled, while Tsubaki looked a little amused. This seemed to be an almost every day occurrence.
Maka and Liz kept arguing until Tsubaki went over to the drums and Patty went to the keyboard. When Maka saw this, she clapped her hands.
"Okay! We'll make a compromise. We'll just practice this one song once, and then we'll be done. Okay?" Maka looked at each face, ranging from serene (Tsubaki) to annoyed (Liz).
"I guess that works. But," Liz got an evil look in her eye. "Only if you let me give you a makeover." Maka looked a little stricken, but sighed and nodded.
"Fine, deal. So, let's get started!" Maka grabbed the mic.
Careful with Words (Maka, Liz and Maka, Patty, Liz)
Please stop calling on my cell
I've got enough voice mails
Don't you get the picture?
I don't return your e-mails, IM or your text
Messages are getting boring fast
I try to be careful with my words
You're all over me, suffocating (suffocating)
I need to breathe, doorbell's ringing (doorbell's ringing)
CD you sent, won't stop singing (won't stop singing)
How's that for being careful with words
Careful, careful
No more flowers at my door
I've started to ignore
The smell of moldy petals
I must confess you're desperate
To get my attention
Shoppers we are closing please go home
I try to be careful with my words
You're all over me, suffocating (suffocating)
I need to breathe, doorbell's ringing (doorbell's ringing)
CD you sent, won't stop singing (won't stop singing)
How's that for being careful with words
First I was flattered by
All the attention
I wanted to see where this would go
Then you got weird on me
Obsessed in the third degree
'til I was ready to explode
None of these words have been rehearsed
I don't think they can be reversed
Sadly it's only one-sided
Only a matter of time before I have to confess what's on my mind
I told you wouldn't be pretty, didn't I (didn't I)
You're all over me, suffocating (suffocating)
I need to breathe, doorbell's ringing (doorbell's ringing)
CD you sent, won't stop singing (won't stop ringing)
How's that for being careful with words (careful with words)
You're all over me, suffocating
I need to breathe, doorbell's ringing
CD you sent, won't stop singing
I was so careful I ran out of words
Maka looked at her friends. "Liz, I think it's time for that makeover now."
