I do not own Abby, or Gibb's or any of NCIS's amazing characters.

I do not own NCIS.

I hope you like it.

Abby said goodbye to everyone and slowly turned to head to board her plane. One single tear slid down Gibbs's face as she turned away and started walking away from him, he wiped his hand across his face to hide the evidence and turned to his team and said "Well, let's get to work"

Abby set in her seat on the plane looking longingly out the window. She couldn't believe it, she had finally got the job offer of her dreams, the one she had wanted since she was a girl. She would help solve crimes which she loved and get paid more than she could imagine for it. Of course she would miss everyone, especially Gibbs who she always held close to her heart, for he was everything to her, the father she never had, the friend she always needed. She would miss all the others to and how crazy they all were together but also how amazing they were when they worked together too. Well, this was for the best…wasn't it? Isn't change a good thing, a time to grow and develop?

Abby stepped off the plane in the city nervously. She was excited but also sad. Hoping and yet at the same time not hoping that this would work out. "Guess we'll just have to see" she said to herself.

(Two months Later)

This job wasn't exactly what Abby had expected from working on Gibb's team all those years, actually it was quite different. At NCIS Abby was treated like she was an equal, like part of the family, but here she felt as though she was being put on a pedestal, not an equal but as someone who was higher up than everyone else, like people looked up to her but didn't really love her. It was really annoying and finally she decided that enough was enough.

(Back at NCIS)

As Abby stepped inside she looked at everything around her adoringly. Abby loved this place it was her home and her team was her family. She loved them, and could not live without them.

"Abby?" she heard from behind, it was Timothy. "Ummm, Hi Timmy." She said as a grinned escaped her mouth. "Oh My God, Abby!" he said, "I can't believe you're actually here." And he wrapped her in a hug and gently kissed her soft cheek. After he released her he said "One second Abby, wait here." And he left to try and find the others.

"Abby!" she heard a simultaneous yell. It was the whole team; Gibbs, Ziva, Tony, Ducky, Jim, and of course Tim; everyone, well everyone that was important that is. "Hi" she said sweetly. Gibbs looked at her "Abby…what…" she interrupted him, "I'm home." she said, and that was the only explanation they needed. Gibbs embraced her and held her for what seemed like ages.
