Integra stared at the two files on her desk and took a puff of her cigar.

Two very different vampires came to mind.

Seras, the newest, was so different from her master in so many ways.

She wished to be human again, and refused to drink blood.

It was rather stupid, considering that she was a vampire, but it was her choice.

Seras didn't like killing even ghouls and found Alucard's enthusiasm insane.

And he was, in some aspects.

He killed ghouls and vampires with a passion that made many people afraid of him.

Everyone thought he was a monster and Integra called him this a lot.

But she knew better.

She knew he deeply regretted each kill.

She knew that each kill was another thorn in his unbeating heart.

And she knew that he was a scared and frightened child hiding behind a mask of insanity, blood-thirst and death.

He had lived too long really. Out of a time of war and death, he knew no better.

Integra had never actually learned about the way the No-Life King had been brought up, but she knew the year.

She wondered if he'd ever trust her enough to tell her his childhood.

Yes, they were very different, she smirked.

Seras wanted to breath again.

And Alucard didn't.

But they did have one thing in common.

They were both from Hellsing.
