"What are you waiting for?" she taunted him, "Do it"
"I-I can't…" he stuttered, back away from the threatening ledge.
"And why's that?" she asked, not in a judging tone. She cared; she just wanted to know what he feared.
"We can't possible make that!" his eyes widened at the thought of committing such a stunt, "It's too high"
"Would you jump if it was lower?" Miley wondered.
Nick paused, "No"
"Well then … what does height matter?" she arched her left eyebrow. She glided over towards his side; there they stood 5 feet away from the ledge.
"It doesn't" he reasoned, "Just … do we really have to?" he breathed out.
"Take my hand" she instructed. He did as told; sliding his hand into hers and entwining their fingers.
"Where do you want to be right now?" she asked in a low, soft voice.
"With you" Nick stated, not re-thinking his answer once. "If I was gliding through the air, attempting to jump into that lake, would you jump too?"
"Without a doubt" he insisted.
"Then let's jump" she smiled.
"Now?" he asked.
"Now"
"Here?" he pushed.
"Here" she smiled.
"With you?" he continued.
"With me" she nodded.
"I'm in" he caved.
Fingers interlaced, the two slowly approached the ledge. Her toes curved around the edge and she began humming a sweet tune.
"We'll make it?" he asked for precaution, "I mean, we have the equipment and supervision, but-"
"I've got you" she smiled.
And with that … they jumped.
So .... I was bored as hell in LA and inspiration struck me cause my friend Andrei was talking about cliff jumping behind me. Random, but hey! If it gets the noggin flowin' then let him be a freak for all I care! xxEmilyKearsexx
