Glinda the Good sat, once again in a throne, listening to her subjects pleas and thoughts. She was quite rather bored with this as she had been doing this for twenty years now, and the arguments always seemed to be the same, with different names and places. As always, her thoughts began wonder- and as always they wondered toward Elphie and 'Yero. As her eyes began to water she mentally cursed herself for thinking of them when her subjects were there to see her cry.

"CLANG" the doors shut with a resounding crash.

With a start she looked up, jolted out of her memories of happier days.

And then she nearly fainted, because headed for her throne was a spitting image of Fiyero at 18, except there was one slight difference.

He was green.

Well, maybe this difference wasn't so slight, but Glinda was to preoccupied to notice. Standing she announced, "audiences are finished for today, everyone but the young man please leave- including my guard." As the crowd dispersed, albeit a suspiciously since the last green person they had seen had attempt to take over OZ, Glinda couldn't help but wonder when Elphaba had her child seeing as there wasn't long enough time between when Fiyreo left her and Elphaba's death for her to have carried a child.

Finally, after a long silence the boy spoke, "I am your old friend's son, my name is Glen as to honor my mother's best friend. I believe that person is you, is it not?"

Glinda couldn't help but blurt out, "But when did she have you? She was never with Fiyero long enough to bear a child?"

With a small smirk Glen handed her a small package and replied, "I can not tell you that, that you are to figure out for yourself. But do know this, I am but 17 years old, and I reside with others like me in the East." And with that he turned his heel, and walked away.

"Wait, what others? Did they know Elphaba? Who sent you? What's in here?" but the boy had already left. Deciding to open the package she carefully removed the plain brown wrapping. With a gasp she pulled out a flower clip she had not seen in 21 years, a clip she never excepted to see again. It was the clip she had given Elphaba when she was attempting to make her popular. The package was stuffed with the same straw that the scarecrow had been stuffed with. Finally, there was a small scrap of paper with a tight messy script she barely remembered.

"You have all the clues you need my friend, and the ball is in your court."

She leaned back in her chair and sighed in frustration , thoughts running through her head. Suddenly it all clicked, she might have seen the last of Fiyero's human face, she had also seen it in straw, with Dorothy. The boy was 17 years old because his parents still lived. And they lived in the east.

Then the ultimately answer came to her: Elphie lived.

She slowly smiled, yes the ball was in her court.

It was time to play a game of hide-and-seek.

A/N: I wrote this because i think Glinda has to figure it out at some point. For now this is a one-shot but if I get enough votes it might become a multi-chaptered fic.

Review and Enjoy!
