"She helped me track your father while Buddy held him hostage, the least we can do is visit her when she invites us over for dinner," Helen said as she tightened Dash's tie.
"You look dashing son. HAHA! Get it? Dashing," Bob looked around waiting for a reaction.
"You're hilarious dad," Violet spoke in a sarcastic and monotone voice, tucking her smooth, dark hair behind her ear.
"And Violet," her father looked at her. "Wow."
"You'd think she was going to run into Tony Rydinger on the way or something," Dash teased.
"Shut up you little..."
"Okay, everybody in the car!" Helen scooped up her smallest child and tucked him safely onto her hip. Violet disappeared, sneaked behind her brother, and flicked him in the back of the head. Dash raced toward the direction of the flick but Violet's force field contained him.
"Mom!" Dash complained.
Mrs. Incredible scooted him toward the back seat of the car.
"We aren't packing the suits Hun?" Bob spoke quietly to his wife through the side of his mouth.
"No, we are just going for dinner." She clipped Jack-Jack into his car seat between the two feuding siblings.
"What is it? Who are you? What do you want?" Edna asked from behind the speaker.
"Hi Edna, it's the Parr family. You invited us to dinner tonight."
"The who?"
"The Parr family..."
"The Incredibles," Helen lowered her voice.
"Oh! Come in darlings, come in."
The electric gate doors slid into the wall on each side.
"Where are your suits darlings?"
"Suits? I thought we were coming for dinner."
"No, no darling. That's the cover story. I know you like having your "normal life" too; with your ugly car and calling yourselves the 'Parr family' and all but you're really here to see my newest creation; Jack-Jack's suit."
Dramatic music played in the background. "But I'll order some sushi." Edna picked up the phone.
"We don't need a suit for Jack-Jack. He's only a toddler after all. He won't be going on any missions for quite some ti..."
Edna slapped the phone down and spun around looking directly into Helen's eyes. "He has powers does he not?"
"Well yes but..."
"The boy needs a suit." Edna continued to her suit-showing room.
"Edna really, this isn't necessa..."
Edna was already in her sliding chair. "Sit darlings."
They sat down.
A dressed mannequin slid in from behind the glass wall.
"This was the most difficult suit I have made thus far. Let's have a better look." Edna pressed the bottom button on her remote. The mannequin slid closer to the glass.
Jack-Jack clapped his hands excitedly and giggled.
Edna pressed another button that slowly turned the mannequin to see all angles of the red, yellow, and black suit.
Edna gasped seemingly sucking in all the oxygen in the room.
"Who did this?! WHO DID THIS?!" Edna gestured to the cape dangling from the back of Jack-Jack's suit.
"NO CAPES! Someone is getting fired. Anyway...Jack-Jack has a lot of powers so I created a suit that will work for it ALL. Shape shifter, great, this suit will shift with him. Catches on fire, cool, heat resistant and flame retardant. Can turn to heavy steel, swell, impossible to rip. Turns into a monster, well actually that doesn't affect anything..."
"Yes Edna, very nice. Thank you but Jack-Jack won't be needing a suit for a few years."
"I wasn't done. You really should learn to not interrupt darling. Jack-Jack has more powers that I haven't gone over with the suit yet."
"I know Edna but we really must be going." Dash's stomach growled.
"Fine darling. I have another appointment anyway. Frozone needs a replica of his suit because his wife keeps hiding it when she doesn't want him leaving the house. Call me when you want Jack-Jack to participate in the family business."
Helen grabbed the baby and headed down the hall with Violet and Dash.
Edna slipped Jack-Jack's suit to Mr. Incredible.
He winked.
