A/N: My small contribution to the TakaFuji fandom, a small, less-than-five-hundred word drabble. Nothing more than some harmless and innocent little fluff, my most innocent piece yet. (I think...) Partially inspired by a forum I found on facebook once while browsing through one of my friend's profiles.
Disclaimer: If Prince of Tennis was owned by me, TakaFuji would be canon. And so would TezuRyo and Bekami.

On rainy days where the sky seemed bleaker than a pitcher of Inui's toxic vegetable juice, Kawamura Takashi--also known as Taka-san--would sit down next to a window in his family's sushi restaurant and watch the rain fall down. Sometimes, he would even pretend to be racing raindrops that fell on the windowpane, trying to see who would reach the bottom of the glass first.
It was a childish habit he had taken on when he was little, when there had been nothing to do, no chores, or no need to help his father run the restaurant. Sometimes, when he would remember what he was doing and how stupid it seemed, to be watching raindrops on the window and pretend they were alive and could hear his thoughts as he cheered for his one little raindrop to reach he bottom first, he would be embarrassed. It was a silly habit, grown from boredom that had stemmed as a child.
So, when he told his boyfriend Fuji about his habit, he had expected the other to laugh, or at least smile in an amused way that never hurt Taka-san because he knew Fuji was laughing as his childishness and not at him, never at him.
Instead, the other had opened his eyes (a deep ocean blue that put all of nature's oceans to shame) and wrapped his arms around his waist and lightly placing a small kiss on his forehead. And then he would laugh, seeing Taka's embarrassed blush and gently kiss him again, but this time on the lips.
"You're a wonderful person Taka-san," Fuji would later whisper in his ear as he sat on Taka's lap, both of them watching the rain fall from the sky and racing different raindrops on the windowpane. "Strong, but still so very much like a child."
And here Fuji would take one of Taka's hands in his, tracing the many rough parts of his palm filled with whorls and calluses even more mesmerizing than the rain on the glass.
"Maybe that's why I fell in love with you," he'd whisper, not turning to face Taka but still holding onto Taka's hand as he continued to look out the window.
Taka would see in their reflection, the smile on Fuji's face and he would smile in return, his chin carefully propped onto Fuji's head.
He had found his happiness here, where he could hold Fuji in his arms and together, they would chase the raindrops falling from the sky.
A/N: I apologize for OOC-ness, if any has been spotted. This was written when I had a strong urge to write yaoi and somehow it ended up as happy and cutesy TakaFuji fluff. (sighs) I was always bad at writing things on a whim...
On another note, please leave a review if you have the time. And spread the TakaFuji love too!
