A/N: This... is kind of a foreign idea to me. I didn't see the part of the anime where the parts mentioned in here happened. I actually was reading the Bleach wikia and came up with this idea, while "Both Of Us" by B.O.B. and Taylor Swift was playing. Go figure. Dedication goes out to The Rish, for being an awesome friend and getting me into ShuuHina in the first place.

Disclaimer: I don't own Bleach. I make no profit from this. Please don't sue me, but you can't get blood from a turnip anyway.

"Does it hurt?" Momo looked up at Shuuhei Hisagi's face, where the hollow claw marks were healed, but still raw and red. She bit her bottom lip, worried above all else.

"I'm fine." Shuuhei shook his head. Kanisawa and Aoga's deaths were weighing heavily on him, heavier than the itching pain that took over the right side of his face. But he didn't need to be babied. He just needed Momo's company right now.

"I'm sorry we couldn't save them..." Momo looked as guilty as she felt. Shuuhei wanted nothing more than to gather her up in his arms, ignore the loud noises just outside the door and stay shut up in here with her for hours.

"Sh." Shuuhei wrapped one arm around her lightly, resting his hand on her hip. He didn't want to talk. He wanted to stay here in silent understanding, the way he could only with Momo. The girl could easily talk his ear off, but she knew when silence was needed.

"Here..." Momo whispered, giving him a soft smile as she pulled him down to kiss the scratches that the hollow had left behind. She pulled back slightly, studying Shuuhei as he felt the heat spread across his face.

Shuuhei couldn't take it anymore. He dove forward, kissing her gently, but heatedly. Momo reciprocated, pulling him over her.

In the end, they were glad the door was locked. But after that, things changed. While Momo still admired Aizen, she wasn't obsessed. And while Shuuhei still let Momo fight most of her own battles, he wasn't opposed to protecting her.

In the end, that was where their relationship began. It was where it all began.

A/N: Short, I know. And I hated this when I was tying it up, but I hoped you liked it!
