Bunnies You may write a 100 or 500 word drabble involving rabbits.
Abruptly, a mad rhythm filled his head.
(heartbeat)
He turned, a growl slipping between his sharp fangs. The quivering animal was just there, helpless, at the foot of a tree. It stared at him and knew, with the brainless, imperative instinct he could rely with all too well... It knew something unnatural was going on.
(hybrid. Monster. Beast)
He crouched.
(not a man. Not a werewolf. A thinking wolf, half-human in his mind. Something deeply not right)
He wouldn't harm anything.
(but that look, that brainless fear that knew no other feeling...)
With one sharp stroke, blood soaked the ground.
Unless this isn't clear, "he" is Lupin (I'm not using his name on purpose since he's not in his human state), having taken the potion that makes him harmless, but still being a wolf and hurting from it. The violence towards the rabbit, besides his own pain, is a reference to Peter.
