He was sitting near the fire, the only one awake, staring at his right hand. In this hand there was a wind tunnel that would
one day consume him, and he would leave behind everybody he cared about. All of his friends. Inuyasha, who had
saved his life more than once. Kagome, she was his dearest friend who had accepted him for who he was and trusted
him always gave him another chance. Shippo, who was like his little brother. And what about Sango? She was the first
girl he had ever truly loved, and he didn't want to leave her. He wanted to be with her forever. Who would love her when
he was gone?

How could he leave her? He wanted to marry her, but if they didn't destroy Naraku then he would be leaving behind
a wife and possibly a child. He couldn't, but he would rather be married to her for a short amount of time than not
ever be married to her at all. And after he was gone he would watch over her till the day she died and she would
be with him again. He would guard her still after his death, he would always protect her.

He would never really leave her or any of his friends. He would live on in their memories, their hearts and minds forever.
He would always be with them and guide them. He made up his mind, he would stay with them as long as he could and
he would marry Sango and be with her and love her till the day he died. Then, even after death he would love her and be
with her forever.

Why was he worrying? There was still a good chance they would defeat Naraku. And his wind tunnel wouldn't
suck him up for a while yet. So he got up and walked over to his bed roll.
''Miroku?''
He turned to the owner of he voice to see Sango sitting up awake.
''Yes, Sango?''
''Where are you going?''
''No where, not for a while yet.''
