This is just a one-shot. It might be a little rushed but I can't sleep so here goes... (this takes place straight after 2x22)
Seriously?
Curse words flew through her thoughts as the loud ringing of her mobile sounded sharply though her sleepy haze. Clumsily grabbing her phone of her bedside unit Bonnie strained her eyes towards the harsh glint of light shining off of it. "Jeremy? Seriously? It's like, half two?" she said as she answer the phone call.
Jeremy's voice replied clear and panicked "Bon, you have to come over, now. I'm seeing dead people," Jeremy's words would have made her giggle if it wasn't for the sheer terror in his voice, palpable even through the phone.
Bonnie was now wide awake, his tone waking her from her tiredness. "I'll be 10 minutes Jer, don't move or do anything stupid, Promise?" A hurried promise from Jeremy echoed thorough the phone as Bonnie hung up.
True to what she said Bonnie arrived at the Gilbert house within ten minutes of ending her phone call to Jeremy. Not even bothering to knock she near enough threw herself through the front door to find her boyfriend and his near-uncle standing looking anxious. The first thing Bonnie did was throw her arms around Jeremy and check with her mind that he was still in one piece. When she was satisfied she slowly lowered her arms and turned so she was facing both of the men and asked "What the hell is going on?"
Jeremy, sounding only slightly calmer than he had been on the phone, answered her, "I can see people, dead people. Bonnie, I can see Anna and Vicky, I don't understand" Jeremy's voice broke cracked with emotion as he finished his sentence.
A jolt of jealousy shot through Bonnie as he mentioned the names of his ex's, she looked at his worried expression and suddenly felt selfish for her envy of the two dead girls. Alaric's voice suddenly broke into her thoughts "You said the witches said there would be consequences. Is this the consequence, some freaky sixth sense punishment? To Jeremy and you, yeah let's just send him back his dead ex-girlfriend's a few hours after he was shot to death, to freak him out and punish his non-dead girlfriend."
Both Bonnie and Jeremy stared at Alaric as he continued his angry ramblings; even in such dire, crazy circumstances the amusement was evident on their faces. "Sorry, that was insensitive." Alaric said as he rubbed his neck.
"Just a little Ric," Jeremy muttered as Alaric turned his back on the couple, lay back down on the couch and threw the duvets back on over his head. "Let's go to my room, let this idiot sleep."
While walking up the staircase Jeremy explained to Bonnie the noises and the eventual discovery of the ghosts of the deceased vampires. As he opened the door Bonnie turned to face him, walking backwards into his room and started to speak. "I need to check all the grimores tomorrow, and the diaries we need to check everywhere, we'll get rid of them. Okay that came out wrong, what I meant to say is that Vicky and Anna can go back to their lives in, where ever the hell they go and you won't have to deal with dead ex-girlfriends anymore. Did that even sound any better?" Her ramblings ran off as her face morphed into confusion and despair. Bonne threw herself onto Jeremy's bed, hugging her arms to her chest.
"How about we deal in the morning, when I feel less, well dead and we've both had some sleep?" Bonnie silently nodded her head as she crawled up to Jeremy's pillows and got in his cover.
"I'm staying here" Bonnie told Jeremy, peeking her head over the covers in a sleepy voice.
Jeremy crawled into bed with her, his strong arms wrapped around her waist. As they drifted off to sleep Bonnie's unvoiced fears of being dumped for the dead vampires were quietly dispelled, she loved Jeremy and she was sure that he loved her too.
