Please excuse some sloppish editing, still an amateur at editing. I proof read and try to fix it up so it may not be as bad. Okay anyway, I came up with this story while listening to some really good music. I present Death Melody.
Prologue~ The start of everything
'Long have I lived, so many long years; long dreadful years that I have endured. Who would have thought that I would have use for you, one of the mortals, you will be instrumental and crucial to my plan to help end my life.'
A robed figure briskly, but gracefully walked through the snowy woods, holding a young new born in their arms. The robed figure checked it to make sure it was still okay before moving quicker.
"You may ask why I never wanted to take care of you, may ask who I am really, but that may wait until I come for you twenty years later." The figure whispered softly to the sleeping newborn, its body laying still in its protector's arms.
"You may also ask why I want to kill myself, I am an old being, you may not think so, but you see it is for a good cause; for it will rid the last of my people, it will end everything I worked for."
The figure stopped in front of a pair of doors, the smell of a fireplace could be smelled through the cold unforgiving air.
"Never knew I would find a more beautiful child, when I laid my eyes on yours, I could see how beautiful you would be. You will be my Melody, and I will be your protector." The figure kissed Melody's cheek and quickly took out a piece of paper as well as a pen and quickly wrote the child's name.
Melody opened her eyes to meet a pair of blood red eyes, their odd color making Melody giggle.
"In due time, I will explain everythi-" The red eyed man was interrupted as Melody pulled on his long light purple hair. The man frowned momentarily, but forgot about it and laid Melody on the doorstep.
Melody watched the figure run away with incredible speed, she watched until her blue eyes could not see him any longer. Sounds of a door opening could be heard as a woman looked around for who might have knocked.
"Oh! Why hello there!" The woman softly called, her blond hair flying in the wind. "Well why don't we get out of this cold air. My name is Frannie, but I'm afraid you won't remember that now."
Melody started to pout, the hands holding her wasn't the strange man's cold hands, but the hands that warmed her up quickly.
Melody screamed, and the woman left to grab something saying something about food. Once alone, Melody stopped crying and stared at a doll that floated in the air from the window to her hands.
The child looked over at the window to see the odd man running off finally, never to return. Melody closed her eyes to sleep once more, unaware of her future.
