JJ collapsed amid the debris from the exploded building. Mostly what she was really aware of was the fact that she breathed and nothing else.
Then she noticed people running, moving through the densely treed area. They had expected a bomb, the team had stood fairly far from the building and still the concussion reached them.
She had the image of all of them flying, matching kevlared birds. Her mind chuckled, nothing was making any sense.
Through the fog that was her mind she recognized his stainless steel straight posture moving toward her and knew everything would soon be okay.

The Doctor waited for several minutes before Spencer appeared.
"You're late," Reid accused him. "And you aren't a wizard so don't tell me any of that arriving exactly on time nonsense."
"Where are we going?" The Doctor smiled and scratched his ear.
"Does it matter? We never end up where we expect to go anyway. But I've only got an hour for lunch."
"No problem. Step inside and we'll get a move on."
Spencer smiled, "Then again maybe we can just stay here."
"Won't your boyfriend get upset?"
"He's right behind me."
Hotch appeared at the door of the building.

The plane had a rough landing. Some team members didn't seem to be coming around. Emily sneezed and worked herself out of her seatbelt. She looked over at JJ who had been seated next to her. "JJ. JJ are you okay?"
"The seatbelt really bruised my hip." She moved gingerly, "Or maybe broke it."
"Crap." Emily found the team members as she moved. "Rossi? Morgan? Reid?" Murmured replies.
"Hotch?" she called nervously. "Hotch?"
The plane was noisy with agents recovering their senses. Emily grinned when she heard a hearty sneeze from where the couch had been. Hotch was with them.

"I just don't know what to do Hotch. Will wants a normal life."
"JJ, all you can do is to keep your priorities straight. Don't exclude him from this, don't be absent from his life." Hotch shrugged. " I'm not the person to ask for advice about marriage. I tried but I just couldn't make it work. Sometimes it just can't be forced into working. But JJ, I have to believe sometimes it does."
"Hotch, you're a good man. If love were enough, I know you and Haley would have made it."
"At first it was enough." Hotch looked away.
