"C'mon Dad, I want a suit like yours." Peter whined.

"You're too young. You might hurt yourself and if you did then Dad would hurt me, kiddo." Tony ruffled his son's hair.

"But Daaaaaaad. You promised. Tomorrow's my birthday. I'm not a kid anymore, you know."

Tony chuckled, looking down at his pouting little boy. He was growing up fast and tomorrow he would be hitting the big 1-0. He glanced around to make sure Steve was no where in sight and when the coast was clear bent down to Peter's level.

"Okay, I was saving it for tomorrow but I have a surprise for your birthday day. But you can't tell Dad until I talk to him."

"Is it a suit!?" He asked excitedly, perking up.

"Yes." Tony grinned. "A special suit just for my special boy."

"Where is it?" His eyes dashed around the room as if he expected it to just be hanging out in plain sight.

"I'll go get it. Stay here." Tony got up and went to fetch the surprise suit for his boy. He'd been working on it for awhile, especially lately when he couldn't sleep. It was a special, one of a kind design unlike anything Tony had made before.

He pulled it out from a hidden drawer carefully on its hanger with out hand and picked up the case that went with it in the other. It was made with a special blend of materials to make it durable and strong, yet comfortable enough for a ten year old to wear around. Tony's signature red with Steve's signature blue together made a perfect combination for their son.

The whole getup was themed around little Peter's fascination with spiders. A signature spider symbol on the chest and special technology used to give him certain abilities related to spiders, such as gripping technologies in the hands of his suit for sticking to walls and such and super gripping web shooting wrist adapters.

Peter pushed past him and looked at it.

"Hey. I told you to wait." Tony frowned.

"I'm too excited! My own super suit!" He looked excitedly to the suit then frowned. "It's cloth."

"So?"

"This is a dress up costume. I'm too old for that."

"No, look, it's got web shooters! And you can walk on walls with it!" Tony opened to case and pulled out the web shooters. "And look, a mask!"

"Does it fly?"

"Do you really think Dad would forgive me if I gave you the technology to fly? I'm reckless but I don't have a death wish. Now try it on. I promise it's not lame. I don't make things that are lame."

Peter hesitantly took the suit into his hands, looking it over. He stripped down and put it on, Tony helping him with the the web shooters and mask. Peter shot a web at something on the counter and it smashed. He giggled, running up the stairs. Tony winced at he heard things shattering and smashing up above.

Outside a car door slammed and Tony froze. The front door followed. Then silence. And then a yowl.

"Tonyyyyyyyyyyy!"

"This can't be good." Tony sighed, running his fingers through his hair and heading upstairs to face his husband.
