Aaaaaa... Well, this is my second Naruto fic-let. My first was a TentenxLee which I... lost.

Heh.

This is pretty much dedicated to the first Naruto Shippuuden ending song because it's the only thing I listened to when I wrote this. Plus, it's an awesome song worthy of dedications. 'w'

Well, here I go.

"Hey, ero-sennin, what's that?"

Naruto pointed up at the starry sky out of the 8th-story window. Jiraiya looked up from his latest Icha-Icha Paradise and sighed. "What now, Naruto?"

"That thing!" Naruto pointed once again at the figure rushing through the sky.

Jiraiya watched it fly by and smiled. "Nagare Boshi... a shooting star."

"Ooooh, what does it do???"

"Well... if you make a wish on it, it'll supposedly come true."

Naruto's eyes widened as another one went by. "Really??"

Jiraiya sighed and set his Icha-Icha Paradise down. "That's what they say. Well, I'm going out for a bit."

"K, whatever," Naruto mumbled as he watched the stars fly by.

For several minutes, Naruto stared at them in amazement unitl suddenly, no more appeared. Naruto gasped. "I forgot to make my wish!!!"

As he deflated hopelessly, one lonely star appeared. Naruto jumped up and screamed right before it disappeared, "I WISH ANOTHER STAR COMES!!"

For minutes on end, Naruto gripped the window sill until his fingers turned purple. After a while, though, his grip loosened, his head slupmed to one side, and his eyes glazed over.

"Come on... dattebayo..."

Suddenly, another shooting star appeared in the sky. Naruto bounced up and opened his mouth excitedly.

"I wish..."

"Here we are."

Jiraiya lifted his head to truly soak in Konoha after two and a half long, hard years. "Looks exactly the same, huh, Naruto?"

He looked down to find no blonde-haired boy by his side. "...Naruto?"

Naruto stood outside Ichiraku Ramen for the first time in over two years, his heart pounding.

As he lifted the banner up, he realized that there was another figure on the last stool eating his ramen slowly.

"Tadaima..."

The figure looked up to reveal raven hair and black piercing eyes.

"Welcome back, Naruto."

Naruto looked straight into his eyes and smiled.

It came true.
