Armin had always kept himself in check, usually veering away from or being wary of times that concerned his love life. He didn't have crushes, it was something in his slightly nervous personality that kept him from doing so. That is, unless, your name is Eren Jaeger.

Something about that loud, ambitious, driven individual attracted Armin. It wasn't some 'Oh, I'd date him if he asked' crush. No, it was more like an 'I'd jump off a bridge if he asked' crush. Whenever Eren was around, Armin seemed to get more nervous than usual.

It didn't really help when he was trapped inside an elevator with him.

It was a perfectly normal day at the office that he worked at, the multistory building was bustling, as usual. Working at such a big business as that, it was sure to be a bit busy most of the time. He had worked like normal, only being periodically distracted by one of his coworker's loud music.

Once it was time to leave, he got his coat on as usual. He put his laptop bag over his shoulder and checked the weather on his cellphone before he walked off to the elevator. He enjoyed that the elevator was empty, but right as the doors were starting to close, a brown-haired man entered the elevator.

Armin moved to the side politely, giving Eren the other side of the elevator to stand on, and pulled out his phone to avoid small talk. A few floors down, the elevator stopped. Assuming that it was Eren's floor, he just kept playing on his phone.

A few minutes later, he realized that the doors weren't opening, and that Eren wasn't getting off the elevator. He looked up at Eren, shutting off his phone and returning it to his pocket. He noticed Eren looking slightly uneasy, and a lone thought crossed his mind. What if we're stuck?

He noticeably tensed up, as he had claustrophobia. That, paired with he was stuck with Eren fucking Jaeger, he just couldn't handle it. He slid down the wall of the elevator, sitting on the floor with his knees pulled up to his chest and his face hidden.

Eren watched as Armin sat on the floor, the slightly oblivious man not really knowing why. He walked over to Armin's side of the elevator, sitting next to him. A bit too close for Armin's liking, apparently, as he visibly stiffened once more. He clenched his fists as fear ate away at him from the inside. Tears started falling from his eyes.

What if they never got out? What if Eren noticed him crying and never spoke to him again? Or what if he teased Armin about it?

It was obvious that Eren didn't know what to do in the case of an elevator stopping, and in the event of him being stuck in there with his crush, who was undoubtedly crying. He cringed slightly.

"Hey Armin?" He asked, gaining the blonde's attention. "Why're you crying?"

Armin looked back down. He was too obvious. Now Eren was going to laugh at him, or make fun of him, or never speak to him aga-

"I'm not going to tease you, if that's what you're thinking. I'm just curious."

Armin looked up at him once more, stunned. How could Eren not make fun of him? I mean, he was a grown man, well, teenager. He should be able to stomach being stuck in an elevator. He hesitated before replying.

"W-well, I have problems with claustrophobia… I know, it's nothing to be crying about.. I mean, it's just an elevator, I should be able to han-"

"Stop. It's perfectly fine to be scared." Armin nodded, sighing.

"I guess…" Eren's words helped him feel a little bit better, but he really needed something else. "Hey Eren?"

"Yeah?"

"Could you do something for me?"

"Sure, what is it?"

"C-can I have a hug?" He asked, before realizing how incredibly stupid and childish he sounded. He immediately backed it up with, "Of course, you don't have to do it… It's just that when I was younger, my parents would… And it always helped me feel better… I'm sorry, that was weird to ask."

"No, it's fine." Eren replied, turning towards Armin. "We might have to stand up for this, though."

Armin's eyes widened at his reply. "H-huh?" He nodded slightly, standing up shakily. Eren did the same, and the two awkwardly embraced.

After a small moment, Armin nervously pulled out of the hug, blushing and staring at his feet.

"Uh… Thanks, Eren. I needed that." He said in a small voice, smiling lightly at the floor. He had calmed down tremendously, and was now kind of glad that he was stuck with Eren. If he was stuck with his boss, the short black-haired male would have probably yelled at him or cursed at him.

"No problem." Eren said, smiling at the blond male. He thought for a moment. "So, uh, how are we going to get out of here?"

Armin looked up at him, "Well, you obviously have never been in an elevator before." He cracked the slightest grin, walking over to the control panel which had the call button and pushed said button.

"Hello? My name is Armin Arlert and I'm here with Eren Jaeger. This elevator seems to have stopped." He said, and the maintenance person told him it would be around 10-20 minutes before they'd be able to get out.

"Hey Armin?"

"Yeah, Eren?"

"I like you. A lot."

Armin blushed a beet red. "You don't have to be so blunt about it!" He said, hugging Eren again. "I like you too."

Maybe it won't be so bad being stuck with Eren.
