I know this is weird, but it popped into my head and I had to write it.

Shots

Thalia?" Luke asked quietly.

"Yes?" she answered. "

I was thinking, we should probably get shots."

"Like a trip to the doctor's?" Thalia asked, horrified.

"No, I can steal some do-at-home shots for all three of us."

"But won't Annabeth need different shots than us?" Thalia inquired,

"Um I'll ask someone at the store."

"Look, I'm not promising to this, but you can go and see what we need." "

What shots do you give to a 7-year-old?" Luke asked the man at the counter.

"To enter school, you should give a 7-year-old Tdap and Td."

"Okay, how about a 12-year old?" Luke asked.

"Depends what shots they've had, but I would just say flu, and if they've had any major cuts, tetanus."

"Okay and 14-year-olds?"

"Same." The man said, looking board.

"Thanks for the help!" Luke said cheerfully and walked to the aisle with vaccines. He grabbed One dose of Tdap and one dose of Td. He also got two doses of flu, and two dose of tetanus. He figured they had both had more than one major wound. Spotting something, he read the label. General anesthetic. Perfect! Luke thought. He had a feeling that Thalia would put up a fight, and if she was drugged into sleep, it would be much easier not to mess up the shot. He could use them for Annabeth too, if she was being stubborn. Looking around, he darted out the door. Running back to where they were camped, he dumped his purchases by his backpack and went to find Thalia.

He found her by the river, polishing her spear. "I got the shots. Where's Annabeth?" Luke said.

"She's by the big tree. Let me see what you got." They walked back to Luke's backpack together, and he showed her what he had stolen.

"Why don't we do ours now?" Luke said.

"I am NOT getting shots!" Thalia said, whining like a little kid. Luke rummaged in his bag, and pulled out one of the anesthetic pills. Not letting Thalia see it, he told her to open her mouth. A little confused, she did. He popped the pill in her mouth and held it closed, while massaging her throat. Finally he heard her swallow, and he released her. Already fighting drowsiness, she gave him a death glare, then slipped in to unconsciousness . He quickly administered the shots, then laid her down in the shelter. Then he went to find Annabeth. He found her quickly, and explained that he had to give her shots. Then he demonstrated on himself. Annabeth let him give her the shots without much complaint.

Thalia was extremely mad at Luke when she woke up, but she eventually forgave him.
