Ever since the crash on Taris, Almon had been struggling with visions of Darth Malak and Darth Revan as they searched for the very thing he is searching for now, the star forge.
Almon had begun to share those visions with Bastila a female jedi who had also crashed on Taris, one he spent most of his time on Taris looking for. She was, to him misunderstood by everyone, she was indeed arrogant and was very much the "holier than thou" type. He still had begun to fall in love with her. As a jedi it was forbidden for Bastila to have emotions, and ever since he became a jedi the same went for Almon. Their relationship started off shaky as she didn't like his attitude as a free spirit, for him he felt he needed to break her from her emotionless shell the jedi had created for her. Both only padawans, they were two of three jedi assigned to this mission, the other, is named Juhani. Juhani is a kathar, a cat like people, she had fallen to the dark side but was saved by then apprentice Almon. She was a full-fledged jedi knight but was number three on the mission. Those three are accompanied on their mission by Carth Onasi, a republic captain who had been in the same escape pod as Almon on Taris. Mission Vao a blue teenage twi'lek, is a master at picking locks and pretty good at hacking computers, Zaalbar, a wookie, Mission's best friend, is a master of fighting with double-bladed weapons and working with explosives. Canderous Ordo was a fighter for the madalorians during the Mandalorian war, he helped the group escape Taris as he worked for a major drug lord that he stole the ship of for the group, the ship they still use. The only other member of the group is T3-M4 an astromech droid who helped them steal the sith launch codes from the Sith base on Taris, only those codes saved them from being vaporized by the Sith Occupation Force for the Conquering of Taris or SOFCT for short.
Without the helped of those people Almon and Bastila would have never made it off Taris alive. Carth has become one of Almon's closest friends as they were the two who sort of started the group when they had begun their searched for Bastila after the battle over Taris.
After Taris the group sought and got refuge on dantooine, which is where Juhani joined them around the time they left Dantooine.. While on Dantooine they found a star map, one of five that altogether equal the full map to the Star Forge. This is what triggered the local jedi masters to send them on their quest. That star map they found gave them the other planets that they must travel to. Manaan, a water world, Tatooine, a desert planet, Kashyyk a forest planet, and Korriban, the sith homeworld. All in all with the risk of a powerful beast that feasts on force wielders that are believed to be on some of these planets, this quest is all but impossible.
