Damon sits across Caroline's bed lazily, like a large dark cat. Frowning at the Twilight book in his hands. He chortles, cracking jokes. Caroline frowns but says nothing, examining herself in the mirror. Damon tsks and Caroline turns to look at him curiously.

"What now?" she asks with a sigh. Damon chuckles and puts the book on the bed, sides splayed like it's flying.

"Edward is so whipped" he snorts. Caroline frowns then sits on the bed beside Damon flushing with embarrassment and curiousity.

"Damon... Why don't you sparkle like Edward?" Damon's face goes serious for a beat then he bursts out laughing.

"Because I live in the real world, where vampires burn in the sun." He shakes his head, still nastily amused. Caroline looks down and says oh quietly. She gets up and goes back to her closet, pawing through clothes. Trying to find the right outfit for their date.

"So what movie are you dragging me to?" Damon asks distracted, not 100% paying attention. Caroline pauses and makes a small nervous sound under her breath.

"Uhh, New Moon.." she winces, waiting for Damon's reaction. He glares and sighs heavily.

"Great." his voice is loaded with sarcasm. "I need a good laugh." he sniffs and gets up, Caroline's heart leaps with relief and she follows him out of her bedroom door. They get into Damon's car and drive towards the theatre, Damon's music blasting out of the convertible into the crisp evening air. As they reach the cinema Caroline notifies Damon that she already purchased the tickets online to beat the long lines and get good seats. Damon shrugs uncaringly and slides the car smoothly into a parking spot, the vehicle in front of them honks angrily as he steals their spot. He flashes a smirk and gets out, twirling the keys in his fingers as he flicks his sunglasses onto the seat. Caroline hastily gets out as Damon struts up to the doors without her.

They enter together, Caroline nearly having to run to catch up with him. She huffs almost silently, Damon's lips twitch amused but he otherwise ignores her. Caroline's face lights up seeing the movie poster outside of the theatre, Damon snorts holding open the door with a look of immense boredom and distaste darkening his features. Caroline swallows nervous again, starting to think this may not have been the best idea.

As the lights dim Damon snickers and people around them shuffle in their seats and look at him. The movie starts and Caroline gets easily sucked in. Ignoring all of Damon's comments and jibs. She gets so into the movie and it's atmosphere that she tears up as Edward declares his leaving. The theatre is silent, until Damon bursts out laughing seemingly uncontrollable. He guffaws loudly and shakes his head. People shush him but he ignores them arrogantly. Tossing his head back, dark hair falling across his eyes as they dance with amusement. Caroline frowns annoyed and embarrassed as people glare at her as well as if demanding her to control Damon or leave.

She feels the tension in the room rise as all focus on the movie is forgotten and annoyance rises at Damon. Caroline stands up, flushing deep crimson.

"Let's just go" she murmurs, half hoping Damon will compromise to behave and stay. He doesn't, he just eagerly stands up and walks gracefully and swiftly out the door, waving to everyone as they glare and mutter. As they walk through the parking lot, this time it's Caroline walking hastily ahead, wanting nothing more than to disappear into the pavement. She gets in the car and sits, arms crossed. Damon gets in, unruffled by her mood.

"Well that was fun" he says with a sarcastic grin.
