If I Were God
"You know, I think I finally understand Kira's motive." The deathly quiet office seemed to get even quieter as they waited for Raito to speak. He was frowning at L intensely, glaring. the rest of the team knew that Raito and L had another lover's spat the night before. but since L never said anything about his personal life, and Raito's temper was waiting just beneath the surface of his skin, no one asked.
"And what did Raito-kun conclude?" L asked emotionlessly.
"Kira probably has a lover. That's why he wants to be god." a few eyebrows raised, waiting for Raito to Finish. The Kira suspect's glare intensified. "Kira's lover is probably some cold-hearted bastard who never lets him top." more silence. "So I..he... thinks, if I were God, maybe that bastard would finally let me top."
Raito and L stared at each other for a moment before L pulled his thumb from his mouth. "Raito-kun shouldn't bring his personal vendettas into work with him."
As Matsuda passed Raito later that evening, he heard him mumbling to himself. "Personal vendettas my ass.... Should become god... maybe then that bastard would let me top him...."
