AN: Here is installment 1 of my crazy fanfiction updates! This is a one-shot but I think it's cute, enjoy!
Luna Says.
Luna smiled at Neville when he asked why she had stopped dating, as she had gone through boyfriends weekly for a while, and she laughed, "No one ever loved me, they faked it to get money. You know," she said, gesturing to a pile of dirt that looked like something had been planted there, "If you plant angel dust, an angel grows." she said this last part wistfully. She tossed back her hair, blinking her pretty eyes. Neville grimaced, she wasn't all there. Her heart was still, as always, in Sweden.
Luna stayed inside for the part, collecting new for all tomorrow's articles in the Quibbler. When Luna dates men, she breaks their hearts by saying that nothing is permanent*. In her mind, she believes with all of her might, that we all become crumple-horned snorkacks when we die. Luna makes friends, but pnly for a minute, she prefers the pets she orders from Magical Menagerie. She's been having trouble with her Dad again, he takes his pills, but he never takes his medicine.
"Stop looking so worried, Neville. I'm fine!"
"I know, I know." He replied, and he knew she was right. But, Neville hadn't been sleeping well lately. He was worried about her, she just wasn't the same after the war, and not in any kind of positive way. With his tiredness and stress, even though it was two o'clock, it felt like nine.
When Neville arrived at his home, he heard his cell phone buzz and saw that it was Luna, "Hello Luna!"
"Oh. . . I'm sorry I got through to you, if it's ok, could I call right back and talk to the machine?" Neville's face dropped, "Sure." he sighed as he let his phone ring. Why was it always him? About five minutes later, he heard the tone alerting him to a new message. Exasperated though he was, he jumped up eagerly to listen to the message Luna had left him. When he opened his phone, he saw the icon for a voicemail, and quickly pressed the button for 'Listen.' "You have one unheard message;" the mechanical voice relayed, "First unheard message: Hello Neville, it's Luna. I just wanted to say the I'm sorry that you have to deal with me and my post-war crazy life. But, you're the only constant friend I have right now. Yeah, I hear from Harry, Ginny, Hermione, and even Ron sometimes, but you're the one always checking on me, and always there. I'm not a Gryffindor, so I only had enough courage to leave this in a message. I just wanted to say thank you for putting up with me, and I'm sorry if I make you feel like you're forced to. Now with that said, I was also wondering if you wanted to come over in a few days for something fun, maybe outside, I haven't really decided. If you're up for it, send an owl, I don't check this phone much, I just couldn't put this on paper. Hope to hear back from you soon!" Neville smiled, shutting the phone, he didn't know exactly what he was expecting in the message, but certainly not something good.
After the few days, Neville visited her, "It looks like acid rain today. . . Will you help me bring the fish inside?" She asked, "Sure. You know, you're very kind that way." She doesn't seem to mind that the globe is getting warmer all the time, whenever he mentioned it, she just smiled and said, "It's still cold in Sweden." At that moment, Neville knew that no matter what, Luna would be ok. He also knew that no matter what he would love her, and everything about her. He didn't realize the goofy grin that had caught his face, and when Luna walked up he blushed, but then she said "I've always wanted to do this," got on he tiptoes and kissed him.
