"GET OUT OF HERE YOU MONSTER!" Grace yelled at the top of her lungs, as the man whom she had been fighting ran off. Grace's arms had cuts them as well as her legs. The man had a knife and used it on Grace... Suddenly Grace turned to the back of the alley, where she saw Maya laying on the ground. With a pool of blood surrounding her.
"MAYA!" Grace cried. The two girls had been ambushed by the man whom wanted their money. He took down Maya rather quick, which anger Grace enough to fight them off.
"G-Grace..." Maya managed to choke out. She had cuts on her sides, her arms, legs, and neck...
"Don't worry I'll call for an ambulance and then we'll get you to the hospital," Grace said. She then took out her phone and called 911.
After calling for an ambulance, Grace hung up and then gently rubbed Maya's forehead. "I love you. It'll be okay..."
"I love you too, Grace. Please never leave me," Maya replied. She looked up at her girlfriend with tears in her eyes.
"I'll never leave you, Matlin," Grace responded. She kissed Maya on the lips and then suddenly the ambulance arrived. "Let's get you to hospital and I'll call the cops while they fix you up," Grace said.
Maya nodded and then the paramedics took her away on a stretcher.
Grace sighed as called Maya's mother telling her to meet them at the hospital. Then Grace followed the ambulance in her car and called the police while Maya was being looked over. Grace and Maya's mom waited together for the doctor to come out... It took a few hours but he finally did. "Maya had stitches put in and the cuts will heal just fine. She's asleep now. But you may go and see her," The doctor said.
"Thanks," Misses Matlin replied. She nodded and led Grace to the room which Maya was in.
"Let's not wake her up..." Misses Matlin said.
"Okay," Grace replied quietly, as they sat down in the two chairs beside the bed.
An hour later Maya woke up. Maya's mom gave her a warm and loving hug. She then left for some food from the cafeteria. Grace laid down in the bed next to Maya.
"I'm so glad you're aright," Grace nodded.
"Hey of course I am! I'm tough! I'm okay, Grace. I'm okay," Maya responded. She then kissed Grace sweetly on the lips. When the two girls broke apart they smiled at each other. Their love for one another shining brightly.
