Whoever it was, they weren't going away. Pearl paused his DVD and headed down the stairs.

"Yes, I'm coming" He muttered angrily.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT!" Pearl shouted after opening the door "...Oh, hi Dia. Sorry." Pearl noticed his friend acting a bit embarrassed. "Er, is everything okay?"
"Erm...well," Dia started pushing his index fingers together, "You see...Here." Dia pushed an envelope into Pearls chest and ran off.
"Dia...I mean Diamond. Wait!" Pearl shouted to his friend in the distance only to be answered with a hand waving bye. "That was..odd." was all Pearl had to say about the situation

Pearl blushed as he thought what the contents would be, if Dia was being secretive, not to mention embarrassed about this, it could only mean one thing.
Pearl, wanting to see if his suspicions were true, opened the envelope and pulled out a letter.

I trust you are reading this alone.
You may have noticed that I have been acting a bit differently lately
But something about me has changed
Something i need to tell you
I hope we can still be friends after i tell you this'
"I'm pretty sure we will be more than friends after this" Pearl muttered to himself
'My love for something has shifted to something else
I don't know how badly this will affect you
Seeing as i don't know your tastes too well'
"Don't worry, my tastes will suit this just fine"
'Well, here goes
My love for Macaroni cheese has gone, my new favourite food is Sushi
As i said before, I don't know what your tastes are
But i hope you can stand it as I will be eating it more often

"You fucking idiot" Pearl screamed to himself.
-The next morning-

"Dia you idiot, answer the door!" Pearl screamed

"Hello?" Dia answered, oblivious to Pearls rage.
"You idiot! You bloody idiot!" Pearl screamed. "You came to my house, late at night, embarrassed, gave me a letter, and it was to tell me you changed your favourite food!"
"I guess you didn't read all the letter," Dia replied, unaffected by Pearls shouting
"W-what?"
"Do you have the letter on you?"
"Y-yea." Pearl, slightly flustered got the letter out of his pocket and handed it to Dia
"Now, if you do this," Dia started whilst moving his hands to the bottom of the letter, "And then do this," Pearl realised that the bottom of the letter was folded in, he secretly cursed himself for not noticing earlier. Dia unfolded it, "You will then, see this."
'PS. I love you '
"I..er...sorry," a flustered Pearl silently said to Dia, "I'll go now."
Pearl turned around and was about to head off but Dia grabbed his arm and spun him around, "You're not leaving just yet," Dia told him, stepping a bit closer.
"B-but." Pearl stammered
Dia grabbed Pearl by the waist, pulled him closer and kissed him on the forehead, "I made enough Sushi for the both of us," he whispered before leading him into the house.
