Title: Conversation: Chivy and Chase
Author: Utenakun
Movie: The Village
Summary: A hunter, a hunted, and the darkness.
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: I don't make movies, therefore I do not profit off of
them. It's sad. Please do not make me any sadder by considering this to be
more than harmless, non-lucrative fun.
Notes: Noah is a sympathetic character, and yet not. I
think it's pretty apparent that he is, in fact, responsible for all the
destructive things he does, and would be recognizably evil if not for his
handicap.

Under the floorboards.
Under the floorboards there is a box.
Under the floorboards there is a box and a bad, bad color.
Under the floorboards there lies that-which-we-do-not-speak-of! Ha!
I am not bad.
I like flowers and sunshine and birds.
I like chicken soup and mashed yams.
I like Mama and Papa.
I like everyone in the village.
I love Ivy.
(No I don't.)
(I want Ivy.)
Bad people do not like (love want) these things.
Ivy is my friend.
Ivy has been my friend for years and years and we went for walks together and played with each other and laughed and raced and then she hit me.
Ivy is never afraid.
She is not afraid her husband will die, only angry with me.
Angry with me, but I am not bad! It is no good!
They are no good.
Everyone is frightened of them.
Those which we do not speak of!
They have long fangs and sharp spines and wear the bad color and paint our doors and walk around above our heads tap tap tap and kill our animals!
No, I killed our animals.
When they come the bells bong out and everyone runs, runs, runs and looks so so scared it is funny! The people run! They grab each other and small children and run for the trapdoor pit-patter and jump inside and slam it down small children scream it is funny!
They eat our animals.
I eat chicken soup and Mama's delicious pot roast.
They live under the floorboards!
I have been shut up and made to sit quietly until I am allowed to leave which is never only Ivy is allowed to come in and hit me only Mama is allowed to come in and give me bread and cheese.
Under the floorboards is now over the floorboards, ha!
I think Papa would not like it if he knew I was opening the window so shhhh.
I think it sounded so funny when the little boys screamed.
The boys saw me 'round the corner with a great sharp knife in my hand skinning a cow and screamed! Oh! I nearly fell over I was laughing so hard! I couldn't even chase them, though that would have been so funny too!
I think the woods are very fun. It is easy to see where they went he is clumsy she is clumsy because she is blind.
They left! How lucky! They are cowards without even seeing me, it is funny!
She is blind and helpless in the woods. I want that.
When we were young she and I would run and run for hours and laugh and fall over laughing it was so hard to breathe. I could not do anything but she would sit up and smile at me. I loved that! I loved how I would jump without moving when she reached and touched my hand or face! I loved how her hair would be so wild! I loved how she would gasp for breath, and when she got older her-- she-- the lumps on her, they would move as she gasped! I loved those and I wanted a drink of water and I wanted her! She is beautiful, beautiful RED! She is red! It is wonderful!
She should be stolen by those which we do not speak of. They love her and her color. They should take her from her home in the dark of night and take her away to the forest and do-what-ever-they-want-to-her. It is easy! She has come to them! They can make men scream, so wonderful! They can do whatever they want!
I have been walking along time, so heavy, very tiring, I have not seen her yet.
But she is here, she is just ahead of me.
She is clumsy, the branches are broken.
She makes noise, she will make more soon.
It will be funny.
There she is! Now they will have her!
Hup, hup, here we go!
