Summary: Lily wants to go to Hogwarts now. But Ginny and Harry have some very bad news and they are agonizing over. Lily is a Squib. Luckily (?) Harry's Cousin Dudley has offered to introduce her to the muggle world.

Lily Potter crept up the stairs to her parents room, there were raised voices coming from that direction that she couldn't quite hear from downstairs in the kitchen. Yes, her parents had told her many, many times that she had to stop eavesdropping, but she couldn't resist.
"What are we going to do?" said Lily's mother, Ginny Potter, sounded rather stressed.
"I don't know, it's not like I ever expected this to happen," snapped Harry Potter, Lily's father. He also sounded rather stressed.
"Gosh, I've just thought. Can you imagine what the papers will say?" gasped Ginny.
"Oh dear," said Harry, suddenly realizing that while it might not be the most important problem, the whole wizarding world would soon know about their newest predicament. "We should tell the papers ourselves, then they'll know the real story, I guess."
"Good," nodded Ginny. "But we can't tell the papers without telling Lily. Imagine finding out you're a squib because it's in the papers!"
"What!" thought Lily, paralyzed with shock. "I'm a squib! No! How could this even happen? I'll never be able to go to Hogwarts now, my whole family's magic and I'm not."Harry gave a half-hearted laugh, and then opened the door and was met with his daughter looking very shocked and unhappy.
