Reason
Ginny had been sitting next to her crush of one year Draco Malfoy on the steps outside. It was her sixth and his seventh year. He had turned sides after seeing first hand what those that fight with Voldemort. She was one of the first to see the real Draco. It was because of her that he was now friends with the Golden Trio. She knew that after this year their was a possibility that she might never see him again. Gathering up her courage she turns toward him to ask some very important question.
"Draco do I ever cross your mind?" she asked nervously
"No." He says turning to her with his face emotionless.
"Do you like me?" she asked growing sadder
"Not really."
"Do you want me?"
"No."
"Would you cry if I left?"
"No."
She felt her heart breaking but she had only one last question to ask, so she still had a sliver of hope left.
"One last question….choose me or your life."
He watched throughout the questioning as her hope diminished and tears sprung up into her eyes. What bothered him the most was the fact that he could see her struggling not to cry in front of him. He didn't enjoy seeing her sad. Matter of fact he hated when she was upset and now he's the one that was making her feel that way. But no matter how much he wanted her to not be upset he had to tell her the truth.
"My life."
Just like that all the hope Ginny had left was fully diminished. She immediately got up and began running. As she ran she finally let the tears that she kept at bay fall. She was so caught up in what had just happened and running that she didn't hear the footsteps following her as she ran. She finally collapsed at the lake, her body shaking with sobs. Suddenly a hand lifted her head up and her eyes were met with piercing blue-gray eyes. She tried to pull away at first but stopped struggling when he began talking.
"The reason you never cross my mind is because you're always on my mind. The reason why I don't like you is because I love you."
He gently began wiping away her tears as she smiled. He continued talking before she had the chance to say anything.
"The reason I don't want you is because I need you. The reason I wouldn't cry if you left is because I would die if you left. The reason I wouldn't live for you is because I would die for you. The reason why I'm not willing to do anything for you is because I would do everything for you. The reason I chose my life is because you ARE my life." he says honestly
By the time that he was done Ginny was full blown out smiling. Hope and love shining brightly in her eyes as she looked at him. "I love you Draco."
"I love you too Ginny." He says and proved it by sharing a long awaited kiss.
