Hey guys so I got a request to write this story by retro mania. Hope you enjoy it.
Chapter 1
Mona Lisa paced the lair nervously occasionally hearing the clang of metal coming from the lab. The turtles had told her that they found a way to turn her human again. At first she was thrilled at the idea but then the nervousness hit her. What if something happens? What if she's mutated into something worse? As she paced around the lair questions burned in her brain. What is she going to do if she's turned back? What is she going to tell her friends and family? She stopped pacing when her heart gave a painful jolt. She missed her family and friends so much. Mona looked down at her green wedded hands. What was it like to be human again? She's been a mutant for so long now she's forgotten what it was like. She gave a yelp when she felt a paw on her shoulder.
"What worries you my child?" Master Splinter asked.
"What if something goes wrong? What if I'm mutated into something else? What if-"
"No one can predict the future but we must keep moving forward." Mona sighed. She sat down and waited. Hours ticked by with no word from the lab yet. Mona just sat there fiddling with her tail, hair, scarf, fingers anything to make the time go by faster.
"Mikey! Don't touch that you could ruin it!" Donatello yelled.
"Sorry dude but I'm bored out of my mind." Michelangelo replied.
"Well don't bug Donnie while he's doing his work it's for Mona Lisa and I don't think she would appreciate to be turned into something other than a human," Raphael snapped.
"Awe is Raphael concerned about his girlfriend?" Michelangelo teased. Mona Lisa rolled her eyes as Raphael and Michelangelo started arguing. Mona lay down on the couch and falls asleep.
Mona was standing in a room completely white with a large mirror in the far corner of the room. She walked up to it expecting to see her reflection, what she saw shocked her. She saw her human self-staring back at her. Then slowly the right half of her human self-disappeared and was replaced with her lizard half. She stood there in shock staring at her half human and half lizard reflection. Then her whole reflection disappeared.
Mona woke up to Raphael shaking her. "It's finished." Mona jumped up at that and ran to the lab completely forgetting about her dream. When she rushed in she saw Donatello hold a container of pink liquid.
"Well Mona Lisa here it is." Mona took the container from Donatello.
"This will make me human again?"
"Yes but it won't be permanent."
Mona looked up confused. "What do you mean?"
"I mean I wasn't able to make the cure permanent."
"How long will it last?"
"Two months at the latest." Mona looked back down at the pink mutagen in her hands and sighed. Two months to put her life back together then she would be a lizard again.
