There. The statue was finally done. Its sculptor ran his fingers through his sweaty hair, thanking the creator of hair gel for making it fully waterproof. Otherwise, he thought, my porcupine quills would have been somewhere down in my socks right now. His brother was going to love this. Not that he would admit it...

Phoenix knocked on the door of the Chief Prosecutor's office and waited. When Miles eventually opened it, he was shocked to see his brother there, looking slightly flushed and just a little guilty.
"Surprise," he said a touch nervously. It gets a little weird when your brother is also your boss.
Miles just smiled, something he rarely did outside of certain circles. "Thank you for knocking, to be honest."
"That bad, huh?"
"You have no idea - you're hiding something, aren't you?"
Phoenix shrugged, a tad embarrassed. "I thought I was supposed to be the one with the mystical mind-reading powers, but since you asked..."
He plopped the statue down on the table.
"Ta-daa. Happy birthday, bro."
Concealing his annoyance at being called "bro", of all things (why, Phoenix?! Why?!) Edgeworth glanced at the statue.
He blinked.
He gave up and hugged his brother. This was becoming an embarrassingly regular occurrence. The Thinker was a bit of a running gag for Miles' close friends (albeit a morbid one), but the Steel Samurai's sculpted - no pun intended - physique sealed the deal. Hours of thought had gone into how exactly the Steel Samurai was meant to pose exactly like "The Thinker", including where to put the whacking great spear he always insisted on carrying. He was even seated on that rock from Season 14 where he fought the yokai.
Miles picked it up, hoping to get a better look at it, only to be startled by a slightly tinny recording of Phoenix doing his best Steel Samurai impression. Which, admittedly, was pretty good.
"The moon, pale in the sky, thinks the time is 12:45."
Miles giggled: a genuine, unmanly giggle his foster-father would have hated. He liked that feeling, so he giggled again. Eventually, the two brothers were whooping with laughter at the sheer silliness of the present and how darn awesome it was.
Miles regained his composure and wiped a tear from his eye.
"Ahem. Yes. Thank you. Would you care to join me for a spot of tea?"
"Yes, I'd like that."
