Disclaimer: I don't own Victorious or any of its characters unfortunately. But bro dis me storyline 100%.
Jade's POV
The sky was turning darker and the silver stars started to become visible among the sea of clouds. It was a peaceful and quite night today. The wind was calm as it blew lightly onto my face.
Looking down, I start to admire the redhead laying in my lap; her soft features enhanced by the rapidly rising moon. Her long thick, eyelashes cast a shadow on her cute cheeks. Plump lips were slightly parted and her chest was rising and falling slowly as she breathed soft breaths of air.
Gently, I stroke her rosey cheek with my knuckles and wonder how I got so luckily to have her with me. To deserve such an angel. Maybe I did something good in my past life, because I certainly haven't done anything right in this life.
As I close my eyes I hear a low rustle in the bushes about ten feet away from us. I quickly snap my head in the direction of the sound and slightly crouch my body over my lovers one. A few seconds later the bushes rustle again and a small white furry rabbit hops out. It looks to both sides and then hops off away from us. Letting out a deep breath I start to relax until a sliver blade flies past me and slashes my pale cheek. I feel a small trickle of blood make its way down from the parted skin.
Moving quickly, I lift the petite girl up from lap and into my arms; then twist and dash into the overgrown trees just as three more blades hit the bark near our heads.
"Jade?! What's happing?"
"They've found us Cat, but don't worry I won't let them get you again." Looking down at Cat's big brown eyes I see the tears that are welling up.
She leans up and tightly wraps her arms around me and I can feel her body shake with fear as she holds back her sobs.
Through her cries I hear the sound of running men as their feet stomp against the soiled ground. So I adjust my grip on her thighs and back meaning that I've got her more close to me and then push myself harder to run. Their pursue seems relentless as we weave our way through thick tree barks and jump over up turned roots. I can feel my legs burn and my arms ache but I'm not going to give up and let them hurt Cat again. Just the thought of seeing her all bloody, tortured and in pain makes my anger rise to its boiling point. I swore that I wouldn't let them hurt her like they did before.
However, these thoughts are enough to have me distracted from our current situation, which means I completely missed the intertwined roots sticking out in front of me and end up tripping and twisting my ankle in the process. I try to take the brunt of the fall but we end up tumbling down a steep hill; hitting every rock and bump on the way down. I can feel Cat slipping from my grip and our sweaty hands are the only thing keeping us connected until I feel my side collide painfully into a sharp rock. The striking pain causes me to loose my grip and we tumble separate ways. Cat's bright red hair is the last thing I see before everything turns black and I'm submerged into nothingness.
Please review and tell me how it was. The other chapters will definitely be longer and hopefully things will become more clear.
Salute
