It was Monday morning, and, for a change I was semi-awake. One thought had kept me awake for most of the night. It was kind of an awkward question, though, so I was still trying to work up the courage to ask Edward."Bella" he said suddenly
"Huh?" I mumbled, ever so intelligently (I was semi-awake, not fully, mind you).
"I may not be able to read your thoughts, but I can read you expression so easily right now it's sad. What's bothering you?"
"Oh, nothing-it's a dumb question anyway."
"You think I believe that? C'mon, out with it"
"Ok, well, Charlie had a nosebleed earlier yesterday, and I was just wondering if a human got a nosebleed around a vampire, how would they...you know!"
"Feed off of that?"
"Exactly"
Here he paused, obviously thinking over the possibilities. I had done that too. First of all, there was the obvious mouth on nose and drain, but try picturing that in your head. Weird, right? Then there's holding the human above said vampire and letting the blood drip into their mouth, but that would be waaay too slow. Finally there's the possibility of the scent of the blood just making the vampire hungry, and they can make another wound and feed from that.
"Bella, you are one of the strangest humans I have ever met. You really are a nut." I slumped down in my seat. By this time we were in the parking lot, and people were walking by, headed to their first class.
"An intelligent nut, though," he said, grinning that crooked smile that made my heart melt.
"Well, what do you think would be the strategy?" I asked, perking back up.
"I have no idea, you nutty human you." He said, kissing the tip of my nose, getting out of the car and opening my side's door, all in about 3 seconds.
