My mom used to sing me this song when I was a kid.
"You are my sunshine,"
She loves him. It's as simple as that. She's not in denial (As Ino insists). She's not oblivious (Yamato doesn't need to know that). Sakura is aware of how she feels.
"My only sunshine,"She loves Naruto with everything she has, and sometimes is scares her (She's never been this hyper-aware before). Regardless, she worries that if she lets this happen, she won't be able to protect him like she should.
"You make me happy,"Naruto puts her safety before his, and it absolutely terrifies her. She can't imagine how much more protective he'd be if he knew.
"When skies are gray,"She thinks a lot about his enemies (Sakura knows she doesn't stand a chance against someone like Itachi). They could use her to get to him, and knowing Naruto, he'd rush right into a trap.
"You'll never know dear,"
As long as Naruto saw her as something just out of reach, he was safe. If she was unattainable, he would be okay.
"How much I love you,"
Sakura ignores that sharp little pain in her chest when he smiles at her. She's willing to do anything to help him. She can wait.
"So please don't take my sunshine away."
