I'm Liz Parker and I haven't felt this complete since Future Max told me to fall out of love with his present self. I'm glad this whole "destiny" charade is over. I guess Tess didn't leave the Royal Four just because of me in the future I was told to change. She left because she was the enemy all along. In a way I feel sorry for Tess because she never had a chance to be her own person, her whole life was to fulfill the deal Nasedo made, but in a way I don't because she betrayed everyone and made Max and I miserable. I guess I'm glad Max and I finally can be together without having to worry about too much. I've forgiven Max for the night he spent with Tess since I was the one who kind of pushed them together though I wish it had never happened. I know Max loves me more than he will love Tess. He's told me he loved me ever since he saw me.

Liz got up from her lawn chair on her balcony and went to put her journal in it's usual hiding spot when she heard someone coming up her ladder, it was Max.

"I thought I'd find you here," Max said as he stepped onto the balcony.

"Yea, I'm here most of the time at nighttime," replied Liz as she smiled sweetly at Max.

"So I hope you're not mad at me for what happened between me and Tess?" Max asked wishing she wasn't.

"No," Liz stated Liz as she walked closer to Max, "I was the one who tried to push you together in the first place."

"In pretending to sleep with Kyle you would hope that would push Tess and I together?" inquired Max trying to figure Liz out.

"In a way yes," Liz replied looking into Max's eyes, "I had to fall out of love with me."

"Why?" asked Max wondering Liz's reasoning.

"To protect you," Liz said, "a future you told me that if I didn't change the future Michael, Isabel and many other people died because of us being together, Tess joined the enemy and without her you weren't strong enough to defeat your enemies."

"Then why didn't the future Max tell me this," inquired Max as he took Liz's hands and looked into her eyes, "I could of talked to Tess or worked something out because I don't want to lose you Liz you are my destiny and nothing you do can make me fallout of love with you."

"Now that's the Max I know," Liz replied as she hugged Max.

"Liz since I never want to be away from you I got you something," Max stated as he reached into his pocket.

"What?" asked Liz as she looked into Max's eyes.

"This," replied Max as he opened a small box that contained a ring with a small diamond. Liz stared at him in disbelief. "It's a promise ring," Max explained, "it's to symbolize that someday we'll get engaged and eventually married" Max got down on his knees and asked, "Liz Parker will you marry me someday?"

"Yes!" Liz exclaimed then she leaned over and kissed Max.

"We will probably be through a lot when we finally do get married but we'll get through it together," Max told Liz.
