Chapter One: The Cheater
Tris' POV
I'm walking when suddenly I see young couple making out in a dark hallway.
It's not a strange sight to see in dauntless hallways, but for some reason these two look very familiar. I feel myself drifting towards them, even thought what their doing is none of my business.
When I finally am close enough to see who the people are I gasp. It's Lauren. And no other than my boyfriend, Tobias." WHAT THE HELL FOUR!?" I yell, not even able to say his real name. When they brake away from the kiss Tobias stares at me with his mouth agape, his eyes wide. Lauren just has a look on her face that makes me want to break her nose.
I have tears in my eyes when i finally decide to look back to Tobias." Tris..." He starts, but I don't let him finish." No, Tobias, you listen to me. I trusted you. You broke that trust and I don't think I can ever look at you the same way again." I start walking away when a sudden thought comes to me." Also, if I was unclear. You and I. Are done." As soon as I am sur he can't see anymore, I start running. I run faster than I ever have before.
At first I think that I have run into a wall, but then I realize that walls aren't muscular. Once my vision is refocused, I see that i ran into Zeke, worry evident on his face." Are you okay Tris?" He asks, but all I can do is shake my head and then i just burst into tears. My legs give out and wait for the bone shattering fall but it doesn't come. I now know that Zeke is holding me up and carrying me somewhere while I just sob into his chest.
When we get to where he was taking me I realize that he has brought me to Christinas' apartment. He knocks, might I say, very loudly until Chris opens the door. When she sees us she quickly ushers us inside. " What happend?" She asks, and that just brings on a new rack of sobs. Zeke puts me down on Christina's couch and they sit there rubbing circles on my back until I'm ready to start talking. Except when I do I'm not "in-control" enough to not say it in between sobs. " Four *sob* cheated *sob* on me *sob* with *sob* Lauren!" I sob, Christina just looks at with a shocked expression on her face while Zeke just sits there clenching and un-clenching his fists with a pained expression. Then suddenly we hear rapid knocking and I realize that the husky voice on the other side belongs to Tobias. Zeke goes to answer the door but before he can touch the knob Christina puts a hand on his shoulder and turns him around to face her. She starts whispering something in his ear and I immediately know they are talking about me.
A. because Tobias is at the front door and they don't want me to get upset. And B. Zeke and Christina are staring at me while they have their "private" conversation. Zeke looks to Christina, then back to me, then to Christina, and back at me. This goes on for about a minute until he snaps out of it and walks over to me. Zeke then picks me up and carrys me to Christinas' bedroom, where he puts me on his lap as we try to listen to what is going on outside the door.
