My life began the drastic climb to it's climax from a dream. Most people wouldn't think twice about the odd dream of a 2 year old child. But my parents did then. And my dream whipped them into a frenzy.
My dream was simple. I stood in a forest, alone. I was maybe 16 or 17 years old then. The leaves of the trees around me filtered down. I wasn't scared or happy. I accepted what I was doing as my fate. I looked over my left shoulder a something coming from the trees, shaking my short hair back. Two gray cloaked figures approached out of the trees. The two shed their hoods and looked at me with hunger and victory on their faces. The taller of the two was a male, about 20, with shoulder length black hair. His eyes were black. The other was a girl maybe 5 years younger then me at that time. She had long blond hair pulled back into a bun. Her eyes were the darkest red, the color of dried blood. She smiled sweetly at me and I took a step back in surprise. Her smile widened evilly and I realized what she was doing. She was trying to hurt me. My dream self almost snapped back at her with the energy I felt circulating around me. But I didn't. The pale girl drifted forward to stand next to me. I watched her evenly and she did the same. The girl smiled at me and before I could blink, she sunk her teeth into my neck. My dream self gasped in surprise but didn't fight back as the girl drained my blood.
"Aro said to share, Jane." The other figure told her, instantly at my side.
I didn't move as he lifted one of my hands and tore into my wrist. Still, my dream self didn't move. In the background, I heard a boy's deep voice bellowing my name.
After hearing my dream, my parents packed up and moved to a different state. Over the next 14 years, we would move another 25 times. It was once for every dream I had. As a child, even now, I didn't know why my parents were so terrified for every dream I had. I didn't know the role I had in the world. Nor how powerful I really was. Everything changed, though, when we moved to talk to a friend of my parents in Washington.
That's when everything changed.
