Captain Malcolm Reynolds was having a bad week. First there was a random routine inspection turned gun fight with the alliance, then an employer refused to pay on Persephone, and now there were Reavers on their tail. "Wash, we gotta' get past those damn Reavers somehow." "I'm sorry, Mal, Serenity's just not as good as she used to be, especially after that little 'incident' with the Alliance yesterday, but I suppose, I could talk to Kaylee, see if there's any way the engine could-" "Then do it, what the hell are waiting for?" "Okay, okay. Píngjìng nǐ de rǔfáng" He pressed the button for the intercom, and said, "Kaylee, how's the engine looking, you think we could pull a Crazy Ivan like we did with those Reavers on Whitefall?" Silence. "Oi, a Crazy Ivan? Are you mad? Why don't we just go out and present ourselves on a silver platter?"

"Who the hell are you!? Where's Kaylee!?" Mal demanded. "Oh, I seem to have forgotten my manners, I'm the Doctor and Kaylee's fine, a combustion coil for the port engine fell and knocked her out." There was a pause. Mal crossed his arms. "How the hell did you get on my ship, I don't remember docking-" Jayne cut in, "You gotta' see this, Mal, there's something in the cargo bay." As they walked down to the cargo bay Mal said, "This better be important, Jayne." "Oh, it IS, Mal." The walked down the stairs and saw a blue 1963 British police telephone box. "How the-" Mal was interrupted by a man, looking in his mid-twenties with messy, longer-than-average dark brown hair, wearing a light-brown tweed jacket, with a red bowtie. "Oh, that's just the TARDIS, and I'm the Doctor." The man had a British accent, held out his hand to shake their hands. "Big fan, big fan, Sargent Malcolm Reynolds, Serenity Valley, valiant battle, oh and Jayne Cobb? The hero of Canton eh? Nice job, kind of Robin-Hood-ish what you did." "What the hell are you doing on my ship?" "The TARDIS's got a mind of 'er own, she kind of just goes where she wants." "Dàodǐ rúhé huì chūxiàn zhè zhǒng qíngkuàng!?" There was a loud crash, coming from the left side of the ship, and they all tumbled to the right. The intercom ignited with Wash's voice. "Mal they hit us, port side engine is down."

"Tā nǎinai de! What can you do?" "Well, we're pretty close to Triumph, I could try to spin us down into atmo, and maybe land almost, close to safely." "Yeah, well what will we do when we crash on the surface, eh?" the Doctor chimed in, "Do you have any explosives?" Jayne replied, rather gleefully, "Oh I've got any kind of explosives you'd ever need in my bunk, grenades, C-4, TNT." "Good, then we could take the TARDIS to the reaver's ship and- " Mal interrupted, "You're saying you want to open the airlock and try to steer a police box through space towards the Reaver ship?" The Doctor looked slightly annoyed. "Oh, that's right, you guys haven't- alright come with me." They walked towards the blue box. The Doctor pulled out a small silver key, inserted it into the police box, and pushed open the doors. Mal's jaw dropped. "Tā zài lǐmiàn dà! It's bigger…on the inside!" "Yes I suppose it is bigger on the inside isn't it?" The box couldn't have been more than three feet wide, and six feet tall, but on the inside, there was a whole room bigger than the cargo bay! There was a path straight from the doorway to a circular console about three feet off the ground, with a long glass tube leading straight up to the dome-shaped ceiling. "This is my TARDIS, it can travel anywhere in space and time."
