Without you, I am nothing

You find out the hard way that life doesn't care, doesn't give a shit.

Life is totally unpredictable. It strikes in the worst way leaving you wounded, heartbroken. Sometimes it leaves you happy, the happiest you've ever been. One minute you feel one way, the next, life has struck and you are left alone. There's nothing you can do, nothing that will help. You wait…waiting…hoping for something to bring back the sun, but however long you wait, nothing comes. Not even ice to numb the pain for a while, it will always be with you; looming over you. It's not fair, everyone knows it. It's just the way it goes. The way the clock goes round.

I think about you. I can't see you, but I can feel you. You're the one who makes me shiver, the one who makes me smile for no reason, the one who gives me butterfly's in my tummy, I know it. Your heart beats with mine, every step of the way.

The scars, the cracks in the stars; that's what brings us together. At night I look up, I see you. You're the brightest up there. I know it's you; I can feel it inside me, that warm fuzzy feeling I had when you were around me.

I will never know why She chose you. I will never know why it was you and not me, why it was you and not anyone else in this hell hole.

We are ghosts…ghosts of the past coming back to haunt the living, except no one is living. Not really. We are slaved in a world that is never truly ours; me and yours. Maybe when I see you again it will be ours, us against the world. It's always been like that. It's had to be...

Me and you Freddy. It always has been and always will.

Without you, I am nothing.

2 hours…12 minutes...32 seconds later Molly found her son hanging from the old tree in the garden. An old rope tied to his neck, his body limp. A calm smile had spread across his face as if midway planning a prank. No one will ever know the last thought that crossed George's mind.

Forever a ghost in the presence of time.
