Summary: Marinette is heartbroken after Adrien, Alya, and Nino all ditch and lie to her. She gets a call from one of her old friends and she convinces Marinette to audition for her art school. What will Marinette do when she gets a voicemail from Alya?

A/N: Disclaimer! I own absolutely nothing except the plot, the OC and the song that Marinette sings. Anyway, don't forget to review. :)

Marinette walked into school, utterly confused. Alya usually picked her up and they would walk to school together, but today Alya didn't show up. Marinette texted Alya and she said that she was sick and wouldn't be at school today. Marinette understood and started her walk to school, alone. As she got closer to school, she could see Adrien, Alya, Nino and Lila standing by the door and laughing. Nino had his arm around Alya's waist and Adrien had his arm around Lila's waist. Marinette felt her heart shatter into a million pieces. Alya and Adrien both made eye contact with her and Marinette ran away with tears in her eyes. She ignored their calls and refused to look back. She ran to the park and sat in a secluded area where she could cry in peace.

"Marinette? Are you ok?" Tikki asked from Marinette's purse.

"They lied to me." Marinette said through her sobs. Tikki flew out of her purse and sat on Marinette's shoulder.

"There has got to be a logical explanation for this. There's got to be a reason." Tikki hugged Marinette's cheek.

"Yeah, when you think of it let me know."Suddenly Marinette's phone went off.

"Hey Carly." Marinette said into the phone.

"Hey Mari. I have amazing news for you." Carly squealed on the other line.

"What is it?" Marinette was curious about it. Carly was an old friend of Marinette's. They were best friends until Carly's father got transferred and she had to move away. They still kept in touch but it wasn't the same.

"They are having auditions to get into the art school I go to and they're going to be in your area. You should totally audition. You can sing, dance, act, sketch, and produce better then anyone I've ever seen. You'll get in for sure." Carly said, excitedly. Marinette didn't even have to think. She wanted to leave and this was the perfect way to do it.

"When are the auditions?" Marinette asked.

"Seriously? I thought I was going to have to do a lot more convincing and begging. They are going on tomorrow and Friday. I am actually on my way right now because I'm captain of the dance team and I will be judging the dancers." Marinette perked up at the sound of that.

"You're gonna be here?" Marinette asked, getting really excited.

"Yep and we will be taking the kids that make it. When I'm done judging, why don't we hang out like we use to." Carly offered.

"Absolutely. I've gotta go, but I'll see you tomorrow." Marinette said.

"Ok. Bye!" Carly squealed. Marinette slid her phone back into her pocket and dried her remaining tears.

"Marinette, are you sure you want to do this?" Tikki asked, slightly concerned.

"Tikki, we defeated Hawkmoth two months ago and I'm not needed in Paris anymore. Besides Adrien, Alya, and Nino obviously don't need me, so why not?" Marinette explained to Tikki, who nodded in understanding.

"Just really think about it." Marinette nodded. "Are we going to school or not?" Tikki asked.

"No way! I can't face them right now." Marinette said. "I'm going home to prepare myself for tomorrow." Marinette took off running toward her house. Her parents were out of town and she knew they closed the bakery while they're gone. She ran into her room and grabbed her song book. This isn't the first audition Marinette has been to and she knew what she was doing. She found the perfect song to sing at her audition. While she was working on her song, her phone rang. Marinette looked at the caller ID and felt a lump form in her throat. It was Alya. She was probably wondering where she was or if Marinette would ever speak to her again. She let the call go to voicemail because she really didn't feel like listening to Alya, or anyone for that matter. After working on the song for another two hours, there was a knock at the door. Marinette had the feeling that it was Alya or Nino, but when she looked through the peephole she saw that it was Carly, Dylan, Allison, and Sam. Marinette opened the door and was tackled in hug from Carly and Allison.

"We've missed you!" Allison said as they all got up from the floor.

"I've missed you guys too. You're all so old." Marinette said as she gave Sam a hug and he gave her a tight hug back.

"We all feel old. Being at that school makes you age. Well mentally, at least." Sam said as he let her go.

"Anyway… We are so excited to see your audition." Carly said as Marinette hugged Dylan.

"I am so nervous for this." Marinette said as Dylan hugged her back.

"We all have faith in you. You are one of the most talented people I've ever known." Dylan said as he kissed the top of her head. Marinette looked at all of them and they nodded in agreement.

"Thanks guys. Before I completely forget, where is this thing being held?" Marinette asked as she stood next to Dylan, who wrapped his arm around her waist.

"Funny story." Sam said rubbing the back of his neck.

"It's being held at your school. Well soon to be ex-school." Allison said as she elbowed Sam in the side.

"Great." Marinette said with false enthusiasm. She put her head on Dylan chest. She was trying to reach his shoulder but he was two heads taller than her.

"You've got this. What song are you doing?" Dylan asked her.

"Wilder. Why?" Marinette asked as she looked at Dylan with a confused look on her face.

"You're a great songwriter and there is no rule against getting a little help from some friends who happen to be on the board." Dylan gave her a mischievous look on his face.

"That's a great idea. We could give a little musical support." Allison said.

"I don't know. I kind of wanted to get in on my own talent and my own ideas." Marinette sounded uneasy.

"We are just going to listen to you and give you some criticism. Not technically giving you an advantage." Sam explained.

"I guess." Marinette finally gave in after the puppy dog looks they all gave her.

"I'm so happy you're leaving your school here and coming to join us." Carly said as she hugged Marinette.

"What?" A voice said from the door.
