Lost & Found

(or why you should keep your lockpick in its case)

By Me Gots No Name

Disclaimer: I don't own anything from Slayers, except for Xellos who I got from Beastmaster in exchange for another mazoku I found & a pack of ciggys.

Zelgadis looked frantically around his room in the inn. As luck would have it, someone locked him in his room & he couldn't find his lockpick. He searched his bag, his cloak, his nightstand, his bed, his case of tools (5 separate times), virtually everywhere. It was simply nowhere to be found.

Lina & company didn't realize Zel was locked in & went on like any other day doing what they'd do on any other day: cleaning out the inn's kitchen. No one was really too concerned. After all, Zel's a loner.

Zel was just about ready to give up all hope & break out the window. But that in turn means owing for the glass & getting everyone else in trouble. It could possibly mean K.P., & Lina's not crazy about dishes unless there's something on it for her to eat.

"Hey Zel! Aren't ya gonna come down to eat?"

Gourry stood at Zel's door, seeing as he finished before Lina. It wasn't like Zel to miss out on all the coffee.

"I'd like to, but I'm locked in."

"I thought you can pick locks..."

"I can, but I can't find my lockpick."

"Have you looked behind your right ear?"

Behind my right ear? Zelgadis thought. There's no way it could possibly be back there, but I'll check. He tried to run his hand behind his ear & ran into something.

".........."

"Zel?"

".........."

"Hey Zel!"

"Gourry, shut up..."

End.
