"My mum used to tell me somethin'. She called it Ubi jacent in morte et vita. Says it's where she got my name. An'way, I think it went like this-

"Ubi jacent in morte et vita

Oratio pro defunctis

Vita et mors,

Vivunt adhuc,

Reduces,

Reduces.

The Tenebrae fert lumine.

Rerum mutatis.

Rerum mutatis.

Adferam mortem vita.

Nova in morte futurum.

Rerum commutabo.

Rerum commutabo.

Amen. Said it was a prayer to the Vivamus Dei- dunno know why she always said it, but she told me that he wuz in charge of Death, and, by default, Life, birth, and all life in general. It was like a victory song, but also a song to honor the fallen Time Lords. My father wuz one of them. She put it ta a melody he composed, and gave it to our world. But she told me it was dirtied, corrupted like, but then when the Doctor killed our race to stop them from turnin' inta monsters, but nabody bathered to thank 'im. That's the kinda thing that I wanna git ridda. So don'cha see?" she turned to the yellow haired alien beside her. "E's bin doin' this kinda thing, for over nine thousand years. I don't wanna be one of the people who lets 'im do stuff fer me, but doesn't thank anyone. So," She finished, standing up. "Does that answer yer question as ta why I can't stay 'ere?" He looked up at her, a heartbroken look on his face.

I understand, he told her. But I don't like it. Is it an obligation, or a requirement? She sighed.

"Always have to ask the hard questions, don'cha? An'way, it's kinda both. The Doctor's a mix of a brother an' a father. He found me when my mum locked me in ma room for safety, 'cuz the Daleks were commin'. Besides, I don't b'lieve in luve. It don't exist. Not anymore, at least." She sighed. "An'way, time for me to go." The alien male she was sitting next to stood up suddenly, grabbing her pale hand in his tan one.

Please don't go. He begged. It won't be the same without you here. She shook her head.

"No, it won't be the same. Fer you, or fer me. So, unless you still have moaning to do that I need to listen to, I'll be goin' now." She carefully extracted her hand from his, and walked over to the TARDIS. Pausing at the door, she glanced back over her shoulder. "Oh, and one more thing." He suddenly looked hopeful. She smirked. "I'll be back afore ya miss me." She tossed him one of the many bangles on her wrists, throwing it like a Frisbee, making sure he caught it, before vanishing into the blue, time-traveling, police box.

"Where to?" The Doctor shouted from his position over the controls of the ship. She grinned, and vaulted past the gate.

"Everywhere." He whooped, and quickly set the cordients. She grinned. Home.
