Chapter One
New Kids in school
As soon as the family walked into the cafeteria, Eva knew that they were vampires. And yet a human walked with them, hanging behind the tall ones. Eva was shaken out of her reverie as one of the vampires, a tall blonde, knocked into her and sent Eva falling out of her chair. "Hey!" the blonde said, watch yourself!" Eva picked herself up off the floor and sat back down at the table rolling her eyes. "I just love our new addition to this school" Eva said. A few minutes later, the tall blonde vampire walked up to her, grabbed her by the arm, and dragged her to the empty hallway right by the cafeteria. "I know what you are!" Eva said before the blonde girl could say anything. The tall blonde girl rolled her eyes and held out her hand. "I'm Rosalie" she said. "My sister Alice saw that we were going to be… friends" she said. "What do you mean saw?" Eva asked. "My sister can see the future" Rosalie said matter of fact. Eva smiled and shook her head. "I can't believe that I'm about to be friends with a rebel vampire" Eva said. "Rebel?" Rosalie asked. "Well, you're not like any vampire I've ever seen, and trust me… I've seen a lot" Eva said. "Hon, the only reason we're not like any vampire you've ever seen is because our clan has always lived in Alaska… you've most likely never seen our clan before" Rosalie said. Eva smiled and shook her head again. "Of course, I forgot all about clans" she said, feeling stupid. Rosalie started walking toward the cafeteria and Eva followed. "So, why is your family friend a human?" Eva asked, referring to the girl who had walked in with them. "She's hardly a friend" Rosalie said, getting an angry look on her face. She walked off and Eva laughed. Eva went back to her table, and sat down next to her friend Alyssa. "Who are they?" Eva asked her. "They're the Cullen family" Alyssa said. "They're very pretty and yet not popular" she said. "No one knows why they're not popular because they most certainly could be if they tried, but they're not really interested" she said. "All I know is that they're weird" she said. The bell rang, and Eva stood up quickly. "We have to go to theatre" she said. She walked off toward the auditorium and saw that Rosalie was there before her. "We should ditch" Rosalie said right away. "No way, I'm not ditching with you… I hardly know you" Eva said. She slammed her way into the auditorium and sat down at her seat next to her friends. "We have a lot of new kids in our class" Her friend Jaana said. Eva looked behind her and saw all of the vampires with one exception. Rosalie.
