Reyna and Jason had put this decision off, but now they didn't have a choice any more. The senate had ruled.
A child of Neptune in legion made even less since than the Greeks and Romans being allies, Reyna thought.
From what Annabeth 's letter had explained to her that the gods personalitys needed balance so a Greek god couldn't have a child with out the roman counterpart having a child. With Poseidon having a son, Neptune had to have a child. Since the gods work on different times than mortals so Neptune's child had been born almost eight years later; a little girl named Rosie.
Rosie had a hard path to forge in the legion ; to start with Neptune wasn't the Romans favorite god on mount Olympus. The Romans were used to Percy being trained and his powers mostly under control, and Rosie wasn't. The first week she was at Camp Jupiter she caused an major earthquake, causing more damage then the camp had seen in a n over hundred years.
That was just the beginning, it seemed Rosie just couldn't help but get in to trouble and destroy things. It had gotten so out of hand in the past few weeks it was brought to the senate. As the senators saw it the only option they had left was to accept Percy Jackson 's ofter, to mentor Rosie at the Greek camp.
To Reyna, the legion being allies with the Greeks and the Amazons felt like a weird dream that she should soon wake up from. The thought of sending someone away from the legion, felt backwards and underhanded.
She's a Roman, she needs to be trained like one. Reyna wanted to scream during many of the senate meeting, discussing what was to be done with Rosie.
Fumbling through her desk, she found what she had been looking for, a large solid gold coin. Reyna
" Iris goddess of the rainbow; to Charon at half blood camp." Reyna muttered half hoping Iris took Saturdays mornings off.
"Hello, Charon"
"Reyna, what troubles you?" The old centaur asked, his face full of concern.
"Its Rosie, the child of Neptune. The senate has ordered that she be sent to half blood camp for some training."
" Ah yes,I was expecting this sooner, I'll have Percy ride up with Jason on Sunday afternoon and they can be here before supper." The centaur replied calmly,
"Thank you. Bye" Reyna mumbled as she wiped the Iris message away.
Jason was a sore subject, he was supposed to be Reyna 's partner in leadership, but he spent every other weekend with that Greek girl Piper. Technically it was legal, each praetor had two weekends off a month, but they hadn't known about the Greeks when that law was written.
Reyna forced that problem out her mind, now she needed to explain to Rosie what was happening.
