It was like a game of chance, only with their lives on the line.

They treated it like a game, laughing and joking while they threw weapons, attacked people.

Sakura, Sasuke, Naruto-none of them gave a regard that those they killed just might have been playing the same game as them

Nicks, scrapes, broken limbs, bloody wounds—they never mattered, and were taken like the loss of a few coins. Never treated as an omen that more serious things could come.

Then Sasuke was knocked out of the running, life taken from him.

And suddenly, it wasn't fun and games anymore.

Written one day in English class. We were reading 'The Lottery' that day, and the idea of 'a game' just kinda rubbed off on me. Eheh.

Reviews would be very much appreciated!
